Great, they finally can move on and make 172.

fr. The only exciting thing about this release is that they can now back port the improvements on accu sim and the new avionics into the Comanche.

The "only exciting thing" is that Legacy is an absolute hot rod.

310HP single engine, unrestricted visibility thanks to bubble canopy, retractable gear, speed brakes, fully composite.... 220KT cruise.

From purely gameplay perspective, this is a perfect plane. Takeoff/land from any small airport, cover long distances, outclimb any terrain, nimble enough for canyon runs or even racing/aerobatics.

See IRL sure, but it’s flight sim so I am equally capable to take out a P-38, or Eurofighter Typhoon which make this thing look pathetic. Experimentals are the least interesting option to a lot of people because IRL they’re designed to give you more bang for your buck, but in game you can fly anything so why bother seeing how much you can get out of a Lycoming when you can fly a Rolls Royce Merlin?

When one wants to fly a single engine GA out of 1500ft runways somewhere in Alaska, Eurofighter is not gonna help. And on the flipside, 172 or even Comanche is a pain to cover distance with, so that's where Legacy wins. You can still fly it like DA40NG, but the Diamond won't have the extra performance when you need it.

The same reason it's fun to throw around a Fiat 500 instead of a Ferrari 296 in sim racing.

I am also able to take out my QUASAR and make your P-38 or Eurofighter look like a Wright Flyer from orbit, cruising at mach 13+. I cannot use it to land on short grass strips or get the feeling of flying single engine piston general aviation aircraft around the airfield and air strips I fly at. So yeah, Legacy is actually quite exciting for people who fly general aviation and it suits their mission, especially if it's a high quality aircraft :)

Yeah I love A2A but have no interest in this. I'd much rather have a high fidelity C172.

I hate to say it, but I agree

Not really excited about this release. The lancair is so niche. I am shocked no one has wanted to take on a high fidelity 172. It's not exactly like they are hard to get access to. Looking forward to their 182 as well

Been really looking forward to this! A2A is one developer I’m always happy to buy from on release day.

And you bought, installed and thoroughly tested the plane in 3 minutes?

Nope. I owned their products in and know they stand by them. They handle well compared to the real thing. I also watched the video on it so I can get a pretty good of idea of how it’ll be. 😊

It could be a great plane in general nerd. Maybe they fly it in real life? Lots of variables.

Always good to start a argument with an insult.

Isn’t that EXACTLY what you did?

Very excited for this one. Their Comanche is by far my favorite plane to fly and I've been jonesing for a faster GA plane to play around with so this is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.

Hm, this must be a mistake. This is not a B377 or L-049.

yeah, this is cool for them, but I hate to say that I don’t have an interest in it. would love to see a classic radial like they used to make.
