(I have played Evony for more than a year)

Evony supports bullying of free to play players and low coiners by the paying players in all the servers! If a heavy coiner bullies whole alliances out of the server, Evony is completely fine with that but if a free to play player or a low coiner challenges those server bullies, then Evony "punishes" that player!!

I was on a server where one heavy coiner bullied away 3 whole alliances (around 70-75 players) out of the server. I was one of the bullied players. I decided to stay back to play against the remaining players in the server because all of those remaining players supported that heavy coiner bully directly or indirectly and enabled him to bully out 3 whole alliances (around70-75 players).

The thing is that, all the remaining players could do nothing against me inside the evony game itself and so they complained to Evony support against me. And Evony support put "temporary bans" on my account just because I "dared to challenge the server bullies and his supporters".

But look at the double standards of Evony, they did nothing against that heavy coiner bully who bullied at least 70-75 players out of the server!

Plus the Customer Support of Evony is worst in the whole world! When I raised tickets for the temporary bans on my account, the support team never gave any "to the point and clear-cut reason" of the ban. I was always told "violating terms and conditions" as the reason of the bans. But I was never told the "exact terms and conditions" that I violated EVER!! So seems like "Challenging the paying server bullies is against Evony's terms and conditions."

Evony cannot be played unless the players "bow down to" the Server coining Bullies!! Evony has created such a "toxic gaming environment".

Evony and all other games like Evony should not be allowed to "Exist" and should be sued in courts for banning people's account at their own will and for allowing in-server bullying!!

There is a list of "Disadvantages of Playing Evony" that I can make, but since I don't want to make this post too long, I am stopping at this.

A couple of you may have seen my previous posts about remaking Evony, and now we're live! Unlike other remakes that have come out, this one is intended to exactly replicate Evony's original mechanics. The only changes are the removals of hero level caps, hero gear and player-to-player colonisation. I've also avoided using AI slop for the graphics, instead opting for a retro pixel style from independent artists; the look might take some getting used to, but it's lawsuit safe. A total aesthetic rework is in the works if the game takes off.

The initial launch was on Friday and has been successful - a core player base has formed and a few budding alliances have started to take form. The game is stable and performant with the first few bugs quickly resolved so it's time to start the advertising campaigns to bolster the player base over the next few weeks - now is a great time to get involved!

I've recently implemented a referral scheme - entering a referral code and making it to your second city will gift you a "Gift of Friendship", a unique chest containing multiple powerful items to accelerate progress in the early game! It’s a from-scratch remake of the old Evony Age 1/Age 2 formula, built to run entirely offline on your phone or in a browser, with no ads, no energy timers, and no pay wall. No pay to win. Free Forever. After beta I will likely sell cosmetics to support the project. All cosmetics will be earnable through playing the game, so no spend required if you see a castle skin or frame you like!

The core idea: this is a single-player idle city builder first. Everything — building, training, research, scouting, fighting NPCs and AI lords,all work completely offline, with no account and no internet connection required. You can play the entire game solo and never touch a server. I wanted an idle game to play while I poop and now Im racing for top spot on the leaderboards! But you can still play that idle game if you wish!

On top of that single-player game, I’ve built an optional multiplayer layer: a cloud backup account lets you join alliances with real players, defend and reinforce each other’s cities, fight other players on a PvP battlefield, run timed invasions against other player for their resources and a currency called War Marks (not buyable, I'm dead serious about that no p2w thing), and see each other’s characters and cities on a shared alliance map. None of it is required. If you only ever want to play solo against the AI, the game doesn’t push you toward any of it.

What’s in it

Single player:

Build 10+ cities and form your army: Town Hall, Academy, Forge, Barracks, Warehouse, Walls, and the rest of the usual building set.

A full tech tree, troop training, and a hero system, with heroes you can level infinitly. Craft and level up gear for your heroes to make them even stronger.

A world map of valleys, NPC cities, and AI-controlled lords to scout and fight, plus historic cities to capture.

Resource depletion and regrowth on the map, so a tile you’ve farmed down visibly fades and comes back over time.

Quests, achievements, a searchable drop-table, and a prestige/scoring system that tracks your overall progress.

A War College puzzle mode.

Kingdom system with hostile enemies of varying intelligence.

High score boards.

A cosmetics system on a separate currency (Cosmo Coins, earned for free just by playing, no pay wall): frames, city skins, and march skins, including full UI reskins you can turn on. I show several of these options in the screenshots attached.

Multiplayer (optional, on top of the same save): There's even a toggle in the settings to hide all multiplayer functions including the chat! You can even choose to opt back out of multiplayer later if you change your mind.

Alliances:

A shared alliance map where members place their kingdoms, alliance chat, and an alliance-run Monster Arena. Work together to build alliance buildings and research alliance technologies in your academy!

PvP Battlefield for player-vs-player fights outside the main map.

Invasions: timed 18-hour events (12 hours of scouting, 6 hours of fighting) against other player, which pay out War Marks based on enemy troops killed.

A War Marks shop: spend what you earned in invasions on dragons that buff your hero, speedups, and other items. Dragons are a long-term grind by design.

High score boards and a profile other players can see.

The whole game is built to be a lot more idle than the original Evony games. You can set up auto farm routes for your heroes and auto train troops while you're away. Single-player is a fairly faithful blend of Age 1 and 2, while the multiplayer functions blend in only good elements of TKR.

My personal take is that anything that automates tedium such as building, training troops, circulating a training hero and farming NPCs is fine, as otherwise it's just "whoever sits at their desk longest wins", but it shouldn't be able to dodge attacks - so no gate management, hiding resources, auto-truce or teleport. The bot can make you rich but if you ain't around to defend it manually it's gonna make someone else rich too ]:)

Time for some brutally honest feedback!

I'm pretty much feature complete with this age 1 rebuild, and have my eyes on a server launch, potentially including the ability to import existing age 1 accounts (age 2 is a little trickier since I didn't implement hero gear, my HCs are in different places, I have different HHs, etc.).

But, it's not gonna go anywhere if it looks like shit. I've tried to make the HUD look as close as possible to the original game, and I've given it a colour scheme to roughly match the overall "pixel" style. Great success or painful failure?

I'm also hoping I can cheap out and use premade asset packs from itch.io to fill out the city view. The only issue is, getting isometric assets to fill out the entire city is hard, so I've had to go for a slightly awkward grid-like structure. I'm kinda tunnel visioned here, so it would be great to get some honest feedback from someone who hasn't spent the last 3 years looking at these assets to tell me if they're crap or not.

I have bitten the bullet and commissioned a professional artist to overhaul the map, though. I didn't need any feedback to know that wasn't workable :')

Who am I: Im just some guy who played Age 1 & 2 as a teenager and then TKR throughout a chunk of my 20s. Some of you may remember me from my website/discord EvonyTips. I missed the idle grindiness of Evony, without the pay to win mechanics or even other people to worry about at all.

My goal was to create an idle game that I can play for the next decade without running out of things to build towards. What greater goal that solo capping the legendary Atlantis from Evony Age 2.

I ended up blending features from Age 1 (no Hero level cap) Age 2 (Historic Cities) and TKR (Monsters dropping end game gear pieces and Battlefield)

Smart Auto Farming. Set your troops up to farm resources or to level your heroes with the tap of a button! -Capture a flat to place npc cities to build field of them to farm! -Set up your march presets to either train your heroes or farm resources!

Level up Heroes to increase your strength! -Uncapped hero levels, progress towards faster and faster troop training! -Craft and upgrade gear for your heroes

AL lords replace the other players! -Varying intelligence AI Lords who grow alongside you. Non-hostile unless you "Talk Trash" -Triggerable hostile enemy events

Alliance System: -Ally yourself with up to 10 AI Lords and face the bullies of the server! Forming an alliance unlocks the "Bully" event where every day there is a chance a bully appears to attack your allies. Defend your friends to earn Reputation -Completing daily quests and defending your allies unlocks different events through the Reputation system -Alliance War: Fight off a team of bullies who seek to clear your cities -Battlefield (work in progress): fight a 3v3 battle in a smaller map for control of a central building. -Challenge Bully: A bully brings their full might onto the map to take a HC. Prevent them from becoming a permanent part of your map.

-Expect to be here for years! There's plenty to do in the first couple weeks as you get set up and going. But eventually the game should fade into the background as you check it a couple times a week while pooping.

Install Guide:

Android (Chrome)

1. Open Chrome and go to https://deathstalons.github.io/Ibory/

2. Wait for the game to finish loading.

3. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.

4. Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen).

5. Confirm with Install, then Add if asked.

6. Open Ibory from your home screen. It runs full screen, with no browser bar.

If you only see a plain shortcut, it still works but won't be full screen. Reload the page once and try the menu again. Always open the game from that home-screen icon afterwards. A game opened in a Chrome tab keeps its own separate save.

iPhone (Safari)

Hi everyone! It's your friendly community moderator here, with yet another attempt to reignite the thrills of Evony!

We've seen a fair amount of remakes recently, but nobody has managed to make a public server (necessary for advertisement and player gain) that has the actual OG mechanics and features. Everybody either rips the assets directly and hosts it privately or puts their own spin on it (as I did...) and inevitably ruins it.

What we've been sorely missing is the OG game, reskinned with the bugs and exploit fixes and proper protection against bots and alts - until now!

In the coming weeks, I'll be releasing a faithful remake of Evony age 1 that also features the historic cities and historic heroes from age 2, fully browser based without the need for flash player or a steam install. The mechanics will be the **exact** same - we've seen many developers put their own spin on it before, but this time it'll be pure Evony. Same troops and wall forts, same buildings and techs, same grind to Prinzessin, same battle mechanics, basically the same UI, hopefully the same experience.

For those thinking "Age 1 with HCs & HHs? That's just age 2, right?" - not quite. Age 2 bought in hero level caps, gear and a leadership battle mechanic, all of which I've scrapped. I also got rid of the player-to-player colonizations and individual war declarations, although historic cities will still have the ability to draft from other players.

I'd like to try and expand and form a player base by paying for adverts, since games like this live and die on the player base. This requires me to deviate from Evony's IP, so I've reskinned it using similar branding and assets from another RTS MMO I develop, and made the map, historic cities and heroes based on the British Isles. Currently I'm using fairly basic premade asset packs, but I'm in the process of contacting artists to set up commissions to overhaul the look of the game. I figure that the current artwork I have is workable, so this is something that can happen in the background while I set about growing the community and putting the first few servers up!

However, adverts and artists are expensive, so I need to gauge interest before committing to it, and ideally form a small core community before the game goes live so interested new players see active and healthy servers when they decide to try it out.

The base game will be free to play, but I will offer micro-transactions as Evony did - I know a lot of us hate coining (me included) but it's a necessary evil to fund the required ads and artwork to get the original Evony experience back. I'm also going to offer servers that require a (reasonable) subscription fee where micro-transactions are disabled for purists who want a purely strategic experience where you can't win with your wallet. To me, this is the best compromise that allows me to fund the game and actually have a shot at success - you can play in the dark forest with the whales for free, and if you want a purely strategy and skill based experience then the subscription servers are there. I don't want to rob people and use this as a get rich quick scheme so I'll ensure all the fees are reasonable - I purely want to ensure that the game is self sufficient on a server cost front and brings in some revenue to improve it.

I also have a basic sandbox server with cheats enabled for anyone who just wants to click around and have a look - this one is totally free, has a server acceleration multiplier which speeds up every action in the game and has a number of items in the "Cheats" category of the items screen to make progress basically immediate. Note that the game is still in active development so not everything will be implemented (although at the time of writing I think *pretty much* everything is), and you will see a lot of placeholder artwork and text.

Howdy everyone! I'm a gamer son but am unfamiliar with Evony.

My non-gamer mother got into this game and proudly stayed up until 2AM and earned her first "Wings".

I tried searching about what that means on google but had conflicting answers/ images.

I know she placed 4th out of 5 on some sort of raid?

If i could get clarification on what her "wings" mean i'd love to get something laser etched in honor of her victory.

So this guy in discord who goes by Nightshade xx._nightshade_.xx has had a discord server for 4 years claiming hes remaking evony age 2. Myself and others have expressed skepticism that hes ever working on the project at all.

So his response was to scrape the evony.com and throw up a almost non-functioning front end he connected to a backend and gave it rudimentary function. I said he probably just ripped the files and used ruffle to set up a sloppy backend to get it running, but I dont think hes capable of fleshing it out into a playable game.

He booted me from the discord and said he doesnt want me playing his game lmfao.

I guess I was right and hit a nerve.

Just recently got back into evony age two. Game is a lot of fun but for some reason I have been unable to get any medals. I know lion and rose medals are super low drop rates but I have attacked over 500 lvl 3 valleys and not a single one has given me a medal. Im starting to think they removed the drop rate

Hi everyone! Since everyone is posting Evony remakes, I figured it's my turn to post about the one that (as far as I can tell) came first.

I released Taking London over a year ago and ended up remastering the entire game from scratch because of how broken it is, but fixed it now is, and I have a fresh server to celebrate!

It's a Steam game unfortunately, can't keep up with these fancy kids and their browser based shenanigans. It's free, though, and will never be P2W, so if any of y'all Evony TKR players fancy spending less than $100k a month to compete, here's your fix.

Hi guys, I used to play Evony Age 1 about 15 or so years ago. I played on S17 originally with alliance nWo and then Attero, before it merged into ss1 where I stayed with Attero.
