Stuck downstem

This piece as you can see, needs to be cleaned. The glass downstem piece is also broken at the bottom. Unfortunately it’s stuck pretty good and any help getting it unstuck would be greatly appreciated

Heat it up. Torch, or lighter even works. Use cloth or something to grip it and turn so you don't burn your hands.

And holy fuck dude, you gotta clean it way before it looks like this lol. Gross

I've had that happen many times, and it's always reclaim residue that makes it get stuck, which is why a bit of heat will loosen it up.

It’s clean and separated! I’ve been chastised by many about my dirty bongs. I’ll be better about it. Thanks!
