As of Oct 6th release of Xenia Canary, Unreal Engine 3 games that use MSAA no longer have to rely on game-specific patches to correct the black shading/tiling rendering issue, read the PR details here.

The list of affected games include:

Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham City, Mirror's Edge and more.

Most games that suffer from the black tiling issue will need settings changed to properly render graphics after this improvement on the emulator: window_offset_in_edram = false and xenos_sample_positions = true need to be set in the config file. Check each game's compatibility page for specific instructions.

Games that don't suffer from the black tiling issue should not use the settings mentioned above.
