Minimeters
On some serious discussion, how are you guys using minimeters in your production and using it as a tool? Lets leave out the "oh it's just for aesthetics" comments.

I use it mostly when designing the low end. I watch for how the kick tail and sub bass interact, use it to make sure low end has no stereo information. And finally I use it to see what note the kick is hitting. I used that to tune everything else coming after to that note. I mostly compose in "kick note" phyrigian.

I use it to see chords and how hard bass is hitting relative to other areas. its cool to see lifters rise and fall too. you can see pitch envelope slopes too

I love it. Helps me easily check songs or tutorials to see what's different with what im making.
Specifically the spectrogram is so insanely useful i could not live without it

theres a noisia interview where they point to a very old school hardware visualizer sitting on their desk and say something to the effect of "if the track looks a certain way on here I know it is hitting right" and they emphasize that the device is not especially scientific or accurate but because it's always sitting there they know how it behaves and know how a good mix looks on it..
so is a visualizer a tool? However goofy? I think so

usually mainly the lufs meters and waveform display are my two most used section of the plug. waveform view is hand for everythign from sound design to mixing for me, lufs is obvious because, while logic has one, and so does Pro L, its all bunched together so i can see whats going on next to the waveform

I find it very useful and it has replaced most of my metering tools which needed to be in a separate plugin windows or on a separate display.
What I use:
Spectrogram - Mainly for getting a good visual of the kick pitch decay and length, also helps for looking at kick/bass relationship
Mid/side EQ - Very useful all around, ms mode allows me to better judge width. This has mostly replaced my need to use SPAN.
Stereometer - Useful as a quick stereo visual, could do without but it’s nice to have and takes very little real state.
Peak/LUFS - This has mostly replaced Loudness Meter for me as it’s always been just as accurate whenever I’ve compared them.

Having the waveform show me tsils I can't hear is a blessing, visual feedback gives me information when in doubt

I use the waveform to get an idea for what is happening when I sidechain stuff and to find any random peaks. Spectrum for balancing everything and loudness meter for targeting my final mix volume after limiting

I don't use Minimeters I use Vision 4X, but understanding if for instance you have kick & bass or other low end phase cancellations, relative frequency distributions, etc. Later in the mix I'm looking at stereo content & mono compatibility as well.

I use the oscilloscope and the lufs meter. Minimeters runs on a seperate ultrawide mini screen that sits below my normal screens. Having the waveform as reference is nice, especially when doing sounddesign

I can't live without it. Checking the width, не waveform for mid and side,s pectrogram for note of the sample (left click and hold to freeze) - it's already a part of my workflow, let alone the beauty
