Hey everyone, I’m Hagah, a rapper based in South Korea.
I'm heavily inspired by artists like J. Cole, Earl Sweatshirt, Navy Blue, and MIKE. Since it’s been pretty hard finding people back home with similar tastes, I’ve been crafting my music alone for a while now. But I came here hoping to connect with like-minded creators and hear some honest thoughts on my sound.
I wrote a verse over a type beat and put together a music video for it. I'd love to know how it feels to you! I've also included the English lyrics below so you can follow along with the message and flow.

[Verse 1]
Got plenty issues with my feet, so I rock Nike
Only God knows what this means, brighter days coming for me
A fight to be myself, wrapped in beauty day and night
Polishing my dignity, on my way to the light
Surviving through the storm, as the cold wind blows
No middle ground for me, I ain't taking it slow
Living and breathing the moment I close my eyes
Dead silence in the air, then the bass starts to rise
Visiting my father’s grave on the mountain now and then
Even when I fail to pop champagne, he hugs me once again
Short moments, but memories were priceless and real
What you said outside the convenience store—it was real
Stepped up without a word, desperate for a sign
Now I can't see you anymore, not even one last time
That familiar voice getting blurry in my mind
Seeing the father and son across the street, envy creeps behind
[Hook]
Barking silently in October
Regrets bursting out right under Jesus' feet
Tilted frames, missed shots, shutters I couldn't press
Turning thirty now, finally fitting into your sweater
[Verse 2]
Already turned thirty since dad passed away
Time is far from comfort, taking away memories
The future I pictured back when I was twenty
Was climbing the mountain, watching your back
Looking up at the sky, writing down these pages
Got so used to it that sorrow hasn't bloomed yet, my bro
Haven't seen you in a while, but don't let go of the rap, bro
This will save you, so grab the cord and walk slow
Down the road I met Smiley, he recognized who I am
Our hearts connected, stayed up all night recording, taking off to any land
Even if we can't meet right now, gotta keep it one hunnit
Getting deeper in our own spots, united through poetry,
Became one, still remembering the air of that night
That familiar voice getting blurry out of sight
When I play that old song, nostalgia hits me right
