Garage Conversions?

Inspired by a similar post about conservatories a few days ago … does anyone here have any recommendations for garage conversions? I’m looking to turn my single garage into a room and knock a door through to the house. Have spoken to a few people, but they deliberately price me too high, give me vague indications of cost, or just “feel wrong”.

Just wondering if anyone here has done it, who they’d recommend (or avoid!) and indications of realistic pricing/timescale.

I've had one done by Panbride Contracts in Carnoustie and they were absolutely fantastic! Very good price and great work

Pricing is a tough one as it totally depends on what you want done. So what I paid for mine could be massively different to what you are willing to pay or get priced for yours. Plus materials have risen sharply in costs since mine was done a few years back

Unsure on timescales as again it depends on what work your chosen contractor has before getting to yours and of course how much work you're having done!
