taking CS 201 without much coding experience- will my dean get mad?
I've never taken an AP CS class in high school because it wasn't offered, but I have done some coding for science fair and school. I've never touched java but I've used python and dart. I heard the prereqs for cs201 are not enforced and that other students without coding experience did not struggle too much with the class.
My only worry is whether or not my dean will get mad if I take 201 without the prereqs. If I do transfer to Pratt, I will have to talk to her again. Is this a big issue?

I’d take CS201, especially if you’re considering ECE, you’ll need this course. Might as well skip EGR105. If you don’t transfer then you just took the “more rigorous” course and probably learned more than someone in 105.
