Feel free for someone to take the effort and create a quality post that we would be happy to link to, but the current state is absolutely annoying and helps no one. (Except Immobilienscout, for whom advertising is diligently done here every time.)

First time in Düsseldorf, solo trip Oct 31 – Nov 2. Any tips from locals?

Hi! Visiting Düsseldorf solo for the first time this weekend, staying near the Kö.
Which Brauhaus would you recommend for a first-timer?
Sunday is a holiday with shops closed. What would you do?
Is the Altstadt worth it on Halloween night?
Any hidden gems or local souvenirs I shouldn't miss?
Thanks in advance! 🍻

Big Nose Small Money

Any tips for visiting with a dog?/Gibt es Tipps für einen Besuch mit Hund?

I am not sure what the language in the sub is, my apologies.

I am visiting soon with my dog. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Düsseldorf appears to be very dog friendly, and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for moving around with my dog in the city.

I am also wondering if there are any general rules I should be aware of, i.e. I see that places like KÖ are dog friendly, but is she allowed in the shops, or just the main area? Or is it a situation where it is fine as long as she behaves?

I am a rule follower and mean well, so I just want to do everything right. I am also open to dog friendly activites that may not come up when searched. Thank you!

---

Vielen Dank!

33F Silly and cute a s cuddly, looking for a cuddle buddy 🤗🤗

Heeey there!

I'm solo poly with a long distance partner and looking for cuddly friends for spontaneous cuddle sessions!

Strong believer that a good hug, cuddle and snuggle can make everything better ☺️

I'm super chill, love coffee and food and long walks in the park. Love to be cozy, with a good book and a warm cup of tea. Board games, deep conversations, lots of laughter also among my faves.

If you're looking for a cuddle buddy in the city and you think we might vibe, hmu!

Thanks!

Byeeee

🤗

Bookclub - No shelf control Düsseldorf chapter

Post image
15 Upvotes

Hi everyone 🌻

I would like to start a book club in Düsseldorf, similar to one I previously created in Mannheim.

Here’s the idea:
We meet once a month at a café and talk about books 🧡📚
We don’t all read the same book, but rather talk about books around a specific topic.
Examples: comfort books, banned books, books with unlikeable characters, fictional worlds, uncomfortable reads, etc.

The main language would be English, but you can read, of course, in whichever language you feel comfortable with!

If you’re interested, send me a DM 😊

Dungeon and Dragons Spieler:innen gesucht, One-Shot

Hi all,

We're moving out at the end of the month and need a painter (company or experienced individual) for a small job this week:

- 2-room flat, approx. 45 m², new build, Stadtmitte
- About 5 walls only, no ceilings (the other walls are covered by built-in cupboards)
- Fill dowel holes and repaint in neutral white
- Built-in furniture stays and needs careful masking

Looking for a fixed price and work done properly (it's for the landlord handover). More than happy to pay cash.

If you can do it, or know someone reliable, please DM/Comment me with a rough price and availability. Recommendations for people you've actually used are very welcome.

Thanks!

Matcha & Mingle for girls

Hey girls,

We are back with yet another amazing event in cologne after the success of previous ones. thanks a ton to everyone who attended it. We are happy to get some amazing feedback from you.

After a strong demand from the girls, we are hosting Matcha & Mingle only for girls on Saturday, 7th November. We would be starting with matcha at one of Köln’s prettiest cafés: a big table, frothy green drinks, and the kind of conversation where you swap café tips, horror stories from WG viewings, that one song you’ve had on repeat all week & much more. Once the cups are empty, we move on to a bar around the corner. The matcha turns into spritz.

Feel free to register down below using the link & bring your friends too if you want to. We are sure you would have some amazing time. Maybe you find a cool friend amongst them.

Register here for the event and follow us on instagram for all the latest updates.

Cheers

  1. Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz
  2. KAP1 / LIDL Vorplatz
  3. Bendemannstraße
  4. Erkrather Straße
  5. Worringer Platz
  6. Fernbusbahnhof Hauptbahnhof
  7. Oststraße
