I recommend Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator
This is a interesting 1993 DOS title, I cant think of another game quite like it. Stronghold is an offically licensed Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Real-Time Fantasy Kingdom Simulator. Its a little harder for me to recomend than M.A.X Mechcanized Assault and Exploration was yesterday as this game may not be for everyone due to the fact that you don't control your units directly.
If i had to give a comparison i would say the gameplay is similar to Fallout Shelter in that you put units to training so that they can gain levels but you don't really directly control your units.
You play in real time, slowly building and expanding your territory outward while defending your walls & attacking enimies as you share your world with various monster bases as well as a evil wizard that serves as the main protagonist.
At the start of the game you roll a party of fighters, thieves, and wizards, just like any other D&D game but now each party member can build their own stronghold and produce more units of their class and race (meaning a human fighter in your party can now recruit more human fighters, an elven wizard more wizard elves and so on .)
To this day It's definitely still a unique title, worth checking out.
NOTE: To get into the game you will also need to find the instruction manual online that came with the game because it has one of those old school copy protections where it will ask you what is the first word on page 23? If you absolutely can't find it let me know.
The GOG version does come with the Manuel if you purchase it on the GOG website.

Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe
My all time favorite Airplane game growing up. Created in 1991 by LucasFilm games. The game featured a German and American campaign system along with numerous planes and skirmish style missions. Was an absolute blast. The soundtrack and sounds of the game stick with me to this day.
Fun fact: The engine, 3D mechanics, and mission builder logic Holland perfected in SWOTL were used directly as the foundation to create the legendary Star Wars: X-Wing (1993) and TIE Fighter games.

Did you play the 1995 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator?
Given my fondness for the Magic DOSBox emulator, I decided to create an Android version-which is quite convenient, as the game is only 15 megabytes in size, unlike modern iterations that end up taking up half a hard drive. After a fair number of failed attempts, I managed to develop an ideal control scheme for a touchscreen. I'm particularly pleased with the interactive dashboard; it meant I didn't have to build a full-blown piano simulator, allowing me to focus instead on the most essential elements.

A piece of cardboard I am proud of
Not only do I have these trophies on display, I also try to install these games and see how they function from the floppies or CDs. It usually leads to finding out really interesting stuff, like how the copy protection system works (you need to drink the correct potion in a room full of potions)
