Day of Tickets?

My job is having an event in Denver next week and some coworkers and I were looking into the game on Thursday against LA. My question is what’s the experience of trying to get tickets the day of the game? Is it usually pretty easy/cheap to get them from the box office? Or are we better off buying online ahead of time?

I was at the last home game vs the Lakers and they announced it was a sell out crowd. I don't think you'll be able to get tickets from the box office day of, especially for a group wanting to sit together.

I buy via Ticketmaster and other reseller apps day of all the time but that's only for 1-2 tickets. I think if you're looking to go as a group of even 3-4 and up, you'll want to try to secure tickets earlier.

Interesting, I’ve only been to a handful of major league sporting events since then, and have always purchased ahead of time. Makes sense I suppose.

It all coincided with the takeover of Ticketmaster.

Yeah, I realized after I posted that I had never seen a physical box office at Ball Arena the 4 years I've been going to Nuggets games.

Pretty certain they killed it after the pandemic.

Use Gametime for day-of tickets. There are usually a few cheap seats available but the Lakers game might be harder

I don't have any advice for you but fuck the Lakers

Probably won’t have any luck at the box office, but you’ll always be able to use one of the apps to get tickets right before the game. Assuming it’s an 8p tipoff, look around 6 and that’ll be your best bet

Definitely not cheap anymore. I use Gametime almost exclusively. I've had shitty experiences with StubHub and Ticketmaster sucks

So happy to hear you’ve had great experiences with Gametime 🙌 Any most memorable event you’ve scored tickets to so far?

If I were you, I’d actually recommend you skip the game and go on a tour of the Mint factory. Money is made there!

Was looking at that, but not sure we’ll make it in time. Thursday is really our only day to explore, but we don’t get in to town until the afternoon.

Are you taking the train from the airport to downtown? It’s a good alternative to Uber!

Game day tickets are pretty easy to get for a reasonable price just depending on their opponent. Lakers, Warriors, etc are super popular in Denver, so those tickets would be harder and more expensive. But we used to buy tickets up to 2 hours before gametime for a reasonable price.

The Garden of the gods is really neat. There is also a good cigar bar too.
