Success Story Only one thing, but it was big!
I gave away my heavy folding cutting table yesterday! It took up space in the hallway next to my sewing room for years. I bought new sewing cabinets a couple of years ago, and they have fold-out leaves so I didn't need the cutting table anymore.
Just one item, but the feeling is amazing! I feel lighter somehow. And the lady who picked it up is even more thrilled.

Wait, could you link the storage you bought with the fold out table? I think that could solve a big problem I'm having with even having a sewing area!

All of the years that I lived in apartments , my sewing area was in a corner of the living room. That worked out well. But then I bought this house and it has 2 bedrooms, so one of them is now my official sewing room. It is small but it works. The main cabinet has a hydraulic lift where the sewing machine sits. And then it recesses into the bottom of the cabinet , and I open up the leaves to make a giant table , which is great for cutting stuff out. Of course , I can't get out of the room once I open up the leaves , but I don't see a problem there. Whenever I wanted to use the cutting table , I would have to roll it into the living room to open it up.

Could you post a link for the cabinet, please?
A few of us may be interested in purchasing for ourselves!

Sewingpartsonline.com. You are looking for the Kangaroo cabinets. I got the Kangaroo and Joey set , and they gave me the Kiwi for free. I got them at the sewing expo about three years ago. Yes they are very expensive. I had been drooling over them for many years and finally decided that I was worth it. You have to put them together yourself, but the directions are pretty decent and customer service is excellent.

Nice! The big stuff makes a huge impact. We just moved a bookcase back into our office that had been sitting in our dining room, partially blocking a window, for like 2+ years. Seeing that empty corner (and the little picture that was hidden behind it) was like a sigh of relief!

I absolutely love giving away things that other people are thrilled to take - it’s such a high in so many ways

That's why I love freecycle so much. I am the owner of two groups and a moderator on a third.

That’s amazing! Freecycle doesn’t seem to be very active in my area but we have a thriving Buy Nothing group that I’ve used to get rid of A LOT of

Buy Nothing was born because of Freecycle. I've been a fan from the start.

I just found out someone at work needs the ironing board I was going to curb for scrap metal. It’s amazing!

Congratulations! That's a true win-win - you now have more living space, and your poor neglected cutting table went to a new home where it will be used often and greatly appreciated.
