WARNING: RANT

I'm gonna be fr, this is probably my biggest and only real pet peeves with Death Battle, it comes down to some of the things they make us vote to happen, because quite frankly, some of these things feel like they should happen naturally on death battle, like Colex was a matchup popular since Season 5, with Luz Anne being the second coming of that, Spider-Man on CI being fucking insane especially when HE WAS GETTING A FUCKING MOVIE THAT NEXT YEAR AND HASN'T BEEN ON THE SHOW SINCE SEASON 1, FUCKING SPIDER-MAN, "Yeah we have no plans for these characters next year" THE FUCK YOU MEAN THAT, and then their is Kamen Rider, Death Battle KNOWS people want this, and the series has a large number of matchups they could do, it could have been done so naturally too, like so Iron Man vs Build or something if your afraid it won't get views, Iron Man would definitely be a good click market.

The problem with community events is that they don't feel out of the box or something that Death Battle isn't sure about, I don't want them to jingle series and matchups that we all want on a stick while having new and out of the box ideas on a separate and sometimes more appetizing stick.

Sorry but this is just something I want to really get off my chest, it's something that just offs my tick, and I really hope if they go do a community event this year, they make it based on some more abnormal ideas, have a curve ball idea win.

I’ve never heard of this, but the idea sounds funny

Since this is inevitably going to be misinterpreted, this isn’t me saying “Death Battle should’ve used X instead” its joking about the people I’ve seen unironically annoyed about DB going for a Legacy Matchup for Naruto instead of something closer to a “Perfect” Opponent, like a fight between Luffy and a Character as close to Luffy as possible while still being their own unique thing would be something anyone is interested in.

We already know Luis is animating the upcoming episode, so I'm curious as to how the action is gonna be handled in comparison to this very fast paced sprite animation.

If there's anything in particular that I hope Death Battle accomplishes, it's that I hope it can match the OMM's sound design.

Really listen to how meaty these hits sound. Naruto kicking the tree alone has more impact than some entire episodes, I swear I'm not exaggerating!

This fight has to be one of the most overrated in DB history. I agree with the verdict but in the verdict, they say Dio can just time stop and kill Alucard millions of times?

SO WHY IS IT THAT THE ANIMATION DOESN'T PORTRAY THIS? WHY ISN'T THIS FIGHT JUST DIO REPEATEDLY DOING THIS WITH NO PUSHBACK FROM AL?!

Now sure, the fight itself is entertaining but I DON'T CARE! DON'T GIVE ME THAT WOKE ASS CRAP OF "The animation is just for entertainment!" I NEED TO SEE MY FICTIONAL CHARACTER DOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE'S IN A FIGHT!

They just had to give Pokemón a win in the second matchup, didn’t they?

Ballot Banter 162: Galaxy banter aug 2026 pt 11

With Sam, Ben, Chad, and Liam

Old Yeller VS Old Dan & Little Ann (Old Yeller VS Where the Red Fern Grows) I guess Liam made the thumbnail. Liam explains the choices of renders used because they look weird. Chad is questioning why this is one they are talking about right now. Liam says Old Yeller was just the render he found but looks weird, while Old Dan and Little Ann he sort of fused two pictures of these dog types together and it ended up as a weird AI Cerberus looking image. The description starts spinning some tall tale about this being one of the oldest and most requested death battle, even more than goku vs superman, and ends with “who let the dogs out”. Chad just has his face in his hands. Chad says this is the most fucked up submission they ever had. Sam asks if that means it beats Cream the rabbit. This is apparently an idea and submission from Liam’s girlfriend, as she wanted to submit an idea and the two of them brainstormed and thought of this together, because god knows why they settled on this. Liam said “these are the dogs that die, but all dogs die eventually so…” Sam started to move on but Chad pulled them back to this out of spite for it being here. They discuss how Old Dan & Little Ann went down fighting as opposed to Old Yeller. They bring up the different dog breeds of the two sides and compare them. They think Old Yeller has a size and maybe power advantage but Old Dan and Little Ann take the dub. THEY SPENT ALMOST 10 MINUTES OUT OF A 52 MINUTE EPISODE ON THIS FOR FUCK SAKE. Chad also said he told Nicky, Liam’s Girlfriend, that she is going to hell because of this idea a few days before.

Dr Nefarious VS Neo Periwinkle Cortex (Ratchet and Clank VS Crash Bandicoot) Had a pitch about this 30 minutes before this ballot went live. They learned in the original pitch for Crash Bandicoot, Cortex was bullied and had the N on his head forcibly tattooed on to show he was a nerd, but he embraced it and turned it into some kind of body modification. Makes a lot of sense. A Heater of a match up. More interesting than Ratchet vs Crash. If they were to do a Peak Playstation villain episode it would be this.

Momo Ayase VS Josuke Higashikata (Dandadan VS Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) Liam doesn’t know much about Dandadan and asks if you should specifically do Okarun, Momo, or Both in an episode. Says either can work with Josuke. Ben says Momo is more of the tactics one so it would be a strategic fight. Josuke is Liam’s favorite JOJO and thinks his stand is so creative and perfect. Sam always has to double check and google Dandadan because he confuses the name with Durarara because the names have the same structure/flow. And the chat answer’s Liam’s earlier question saying to do Momo and Okarun vs Cloak and Dagger as a duo fight so they are together. Liam says that does sound fun.

Ogre VS Kotal Kahn (Tekken VS Mortal Kombat) Sounds cool. Never done a Tekken vs Mortal Kombat combo. Thinks this would be pretty solid to do. Ogre isn’t the most popular choice when you think of Tekken but thinks he is pretty cool. Liam apparently once made a thumbnail for Ogre vs Shrek.

Princess Rosalina VS Master Eon (Super Mario VS Skylanders) Ben doesn’t remember if Eon actually does anything in the games. Just remembers him as a floating head basically but says he probably does things in the lore, which if he does it checks out. Rosalina is pretty powerful, especially with her being able to destroy the universe and remake it. Doesn’t remember the specifics just that Rosalina was involved in stopping the black hole and remaking the universe. For some reason Sam questions if Rosalina has feet because of the art. Sam then confirms yes she has feet. Learns Eon is a powerful mage and master of Beard-Fu, which then confuses Ben more with this match up thinking Rosalina fights with her hair but doesn’t remember that ever happening.

Kaiju No.9 VS Chatterbox (Kaiju No.8 VS Goddess of Victory:Nikke) Liam suggest a ballot banter drinking game, take a shot ever time there is an army battle. The others say that is probably solid, Liam says he has been seeing a lot of them recently and could add Asymetric battles too. Feels like they talked about Kaiju no.9 before but not quite sure. Doesn’t seem to know Chatterbox but remembers Goddess of Victory: Nikke being brought up. Haven’t done a kaiju fight in a while and it would be cool to do more kaijus outside of godzilla and gamera. Be fun to do a modern kaiju fight.

Corvo Attano VS Garrett (Dishonored VS Thief) Every Year they have a thing where they ask their crew about wanted match ups to consider, and every year one of their producers, named Christina, shows them their shrine to Corvo and says “just do something with Corvo”. The first Dishonored is super good. Haven’t played Theif in a while but liked it. Says Corvo likely just destroys Garrett. There was a superchat that jokingly says “So why haven’t you done it? Do you hate her?” causing them to laugh and saying no she is great but this is just a tough one to do. Sam jokingly says they are waiting for Dishonored 3.

Hu Tao VS Hanako (Genshin Impact VS Toilet Bound Hanako-kun) Ben says “If Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun is supposed to be bleak, I don’t want to look it up”. He doesn’t know what that is supposed to mean. Liam mentions Toilet Bound vs skibidi toilet vs the toiletnator. They are having a hard time matching “Profound and Bleak” with “toilet bound” as the combination of words just don’t match in their brains and they don’t want to learn anything about this series then. Someone suggests the crew make themselves bingo cards for the next ballot with repeating things "backwards thumbnail, army fight, same-color hair, ect” and they think that is fun. People try to explain it is a romance anime, it is more depressing than bleak, it has battle shonen elements, it is like yuyu hakusho but with more fascination of toilets and romance. Ben says the more people talk about it the more pushed away he is. It just doesn’t seem to make sense and Ben has no idea what anyone is talking about.

Tserriednich VS Diavolo (HunterXHunter VS Jojo's Bizzare Adventure) Appreciates the name pronunciation help on there. Liam says Tserriednich rocks and explains his deal. Liam seems to really love him and his powers/story and thinks this match up is amazing.

Sonar VS Spinner (Dispatch VS My Hero Academia) Thinks this is really cool. Gets the idea instantly and thinks it is really interesting. Hopes Dispatch keeps going. Sam would be very unsurprised if they made an mmorpg game in that world where you make your own hero for dispatch’s world.

The Puppet VS Spooky (Five Nights At Freddy's VS Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion) Chad and Ben has had a couple pitches about Spooky. Chad explains her to Liam. Thinks it is neat.

Deedlit VS Lina Inverse (Record of Lodoss War VS Slayers) Thinks this is really cool. Very old series that are loved. There was a Record of Lodoss game not long ago apparently. Asks if they could do this fight as a DnD campaign.

Yhwach VS Zanza (Bleach VS Xenoblade Chronicles) Sam having trouble with Yhwach of course but is a bit more understandable. Chad says it surprisingly is pronounced “Yuha Ba hawk” Recognizes they have future seeing but Yhwach can alter the futures. Liam asks if you can poke yhwach’s cloak eyes. Great, crazy idea.

American Tall Tale Battle Royale (American folktales). Had a pitch about this. Says this is great and awesome. Liam feels like Paul Bunyan should demolish, John Henry will give it his all but Paul Bunyan is the size of a mountain. Chad says Pecos Bill is crazy with the things he fought and has done. It is really interesting. Had a really fun pitch learning about this. Liam feels like Davey Crocket gets wrecked, but this is the tall tales version which gets crazy. Thinks this would be super cool to do.

Phoenix Wright VS Evangeline Morgan (Ace Attorney VS of the Devil) Don’t know anything about “of the Devil”. Says Evangeline’s eyes are crazy. They learn “of the Devil” is basically cyberpunk Ace Attorney and thinks that sounds sick. This sounds interesting.

Peacock VS B.B. Hood (Skullgirls VS Darkstalkers) Have talked about this before. Kicks ass, super cool and cartoonish. Chad never realized the eyes on Peacock’s feathers are her actual eyes and not just a design. Loves it.
