What is everybody’s recommendation for aftermarket analog stick caps (just the standard grey analog stick and yellow “C” stick caps, nothing fancy)? Recently bought some from eBay and was disappointed. They didn’t have the same “clacky” feel as the original, I believe because they sank too far down into the shell, causing the rubber material of the cap to rub against the sides. I’ve seen plenty of custom-colored ones from Etsy, etc., that look decent, but it’s harder to find the standard-colored stick caps. Thanks

So I got a GCN mod kit from 8bitdo and It’s been working really well. I bought a mod from Etsy that should provide the GCN controller omron mouseclick switches on the ABXY buttons, but I stupidly didn’t read that the mod was made specifically for the Phob Motherboard. I am new to soldering, so is it still possible to solder them onto the 8bitdo Motherboard and have them work correctly, or am I just cooked, and have to stick to the default membrane?

guys do you know what happened here and how to fix? I did retrobright it with peroxide and became like this. *it was like this before the most yellow one.

Noticing significant travel on the new NSO gcc triggers before they are engaged (pencil mark on left). Right now I’m thinking of padding the protruding stops (pic on the right) with a small strip of adhesive rubber sheet.
Wondering if others have suggestions?
The travel on the original gcc is minimal and trigger engages instantly, would like for the NSO to behave the same way.

I’m calibrating my first ever phob controller and my stick controls are completely whack. The grey stick is reversed on the x axis and the c-stick is reversed on the y axis, as well as the fact that the input for the sticks traveling super short. Is there some setting that reverses both of the sticks or is something just completely wrong?

There's definitely some flaws, and I know what I'll do differently next time, but I'm pretty happy for my first set

Got everything myself was stock before I don't think it looks too bad!

In the end I opted to send my Gamecube controller in for repair, as the cable had been damaged and was causing fatal errors.

I specified that I wanted to replace the cable with another remote I had there that I damaged in an attempt to repair it (The cable is the original)

So now I can play without any problems

Looking to buy a second-hand GameCube controller with a damaged analog stick. Also I want to replace the c-sticks on my controllers, because I'd rather have a proper second analogue stick thab the little c-stick nub.

I've bought third party replacement stick caps in the past but was disappointed with the quality. These 8bitdo replacement stick caps are quite cheap, so would be a great option if they fit. OEM GameCube stick caps are more expensive and harder to find.

Hello, i want to mod my first gamecube controller and while trying to put the controller cable into a paracord i stunbled upon a problem.

apparently my paracord 550 is to small for the cable, i dont want to remove the copper shield as many people on youtube do in their tutorials, but i just cant get the paracord over the cable.

Is there something im missing or didi i just buy a nad paracord 550 that is smaller than it should be?

Pretty much everything is said I just wan’t to know if I can upgrade the gamecube controller to sound a bit like a thock custom keyboard( I have krytox g205 btw ) or the analog stick if you prefer anything to reduce a bit the sound but not interfere with the buttons themself keeping the precision because i wan’t to play melee with it

My controller worked fine and suddenly it stopped working, I tried flashing the board but it's not showing up on my PC. I have verified my cords work. Not sure what else I have the ability to do

I was in smash ultimate, i just got a phon anout a week and a half ago, barely used this thing less than 10 times, and now the stick is going crazy. i try to recalibrate it but nothing happens. am i cooked?

Technically only the orange controller has a functional mod in a trigger plug, but idk maybe the left stick on the black controller also counts?

The teal one is probably my favorite looking one that I've built so far, and all mouse clicks made it even better.

Recently I've learned how to polish buttons, so the a button were practice, and the trigger was to another phob build I did (also recently posted on this sub) I'm currently taking a break from orders and I'm taking some time to focus on resin casting buttons, so I'm really excited to see how that goes. Assume the stock boxes are brand new and lubricated properly. What capacitance is best if you’re using a slickbox mod. I’d love to know the best capacitance setting for the 0.020”, 0.025”, and 0.030” shims respectively. Thanks in advance!!

So back during quarantine I purchased a modded spice orange Japanese GameCube that came with its matching gameboy player, no disc tho.
It has a switch in the back that allows switch from Japanese to American games.
Probably like 2 years later I bought the disc but was never able to try it out because I no longer had a TV that was compatible with AV cables. My girlfriend bought me the Eon GCHD in May this year and I’m just now getting around to try out the gameboy player disc.
I kept getting a pop up that says it can’t read the disc so I assumed it was the laser. I cleaned the laser and I was still getting the issue so I popped a regular game in it and it worked completely fine.
Is it possible that my GameCube can’t read the gameboy player disc because the console is Japanese?
