Hello I just found a victor(JVC)vm-10 color monitor on internet, looks this model not bad, so I want to buy it as a gaming screen, but it looks like in the video, when the power on(no signal input), it showing full of white noise thing. What kind of malfunction could this be?

I know it’s kind of spammy, but I’m at my wits end. I just want a compact CRT, preferably a VHS combo, but any will do. I’ve tried marketplace but they all think it’s worth its weight in silver.
I appreciate they are no longer produced, but I can’t fathom paying more than $50-$60 for one.

I'm looking to buy this CRT TV on Facebook Marketplace soon. Is it possible to convert this to RCA so I can plug in a combo DVD/VHS player to this? I know this model is made more for gaming.

I got this CRT TV (Panasonic CT-13R18W) on eBay a few days ago. It's a decision I now regret because it came damaged and while it technically works fine, I'm concerned whether or not I should continue using it.

Firstly, the thing I'm most concerned about is this weird sharp staticky smell coming from the back of the TV where the vents are. After playing games for just 45 minutes, the smell begins to fill my room and it becomes noticeable when I walk into my room. The smell becomes VERY noticeable if the TV has been on in my room for several hours. And even after the TV has been turned off for a day and the smell is gone from my room, I can still smell it directly on the vents on the back of the TV.

I'm not sure if this is normal, but I've read online that this may be toxic ozone gas that I'm breathing in which is very concerning to me because I don't want to cause any damage my health, especially since I already deal with various health conditions.

The other problem, as shown in the video, is this constant rhythmic clicking noise that happened as soon I turned it on. This sound is accompanied by the screen display twitching/distorting in rhythm with the clicks when I play games.

I was actually able to fix these two problems by smacking the bottom-left of the front of the TV with a blunt object. I did this because the plastic there was cracked, loose, and a bit out of place so I was trying to move it back into place. I've only had this TV for about 3 days so I'm not sure if these problems will come back.

My question is whether I should be concerned about using this TV going forward. I'm worried about the strange smell I'm breathing in, especially considering my health conditions, and I'm not exactly sure what those clicking sounds and screen twitches were an indicator of.

Hi folks! Got this monitor that we found while cleaning out a wardrobe and we were wondering if anyone has any info on it. We did a search online and came back with little answers!

So I picked these 2 Toshiba CRTs for free! They were my first CRTs and I was hooked right away. A week later I found a 32 in zenith on the side of the road. Now I had 3 CRTs and I was stoked.

Then I learned about Sony trinitrons and I found someone willing to trade my 22in dvd combo Toshiba for a 27 in trinitron.I had 3 CRTS all for free one of them being a Trinitron , I couldn’t be happier.
I traded my zenith for a PlayStation 2

Then my Trinitron collapsed vertically and died. I was so devastated and sad so I gave it away. Then I got super lucky and found a 32-inch Trinitron for free ! So now I’m gonna get rid of my Toshiba and just stick with my Trinitron and a plasma tv I also got for free.

Moral of the story don’t spend crazy amounts of money on these TVs just gotta be crazy and check marketplace every minute until you find what you’re looking for 😂

Guy on FB just wanted it gone. Almost died twice trying to get it out of that guys basement and brought down into mine. Only thing I had study enough to put it on was an old end table which will do for now. Got the N64 running though S-Video and it looks great!

Found someone in my area selling things in garage, saw this TV but can't get more photos at this time. Can someone help identify this TV?

Guys I've seen this widescreen monochrome portables for first time and that's the 11" blue ones. I'm planning to buy the grey 9" and white 4:3 ones for inr 1300₹. Is it worth it? The 4:3 is working for a second and turns off. The widescreen isn't even turning on and I'm really ready to work with it if fbt yoke tube is okay.

BTW the only other image I've found is another post of 16:9 TV on north india for 9000inr around 100$. Well what you guys think? If anybody has schematic related to this widescreen ones, let me know
