So, what is r/Craftastrophe?
This is a community for sharing crafting disasters, troubleshooting projects, and embracing the messy side of being creative. We're talking failed DIYs, botched tutorials, questionable progress photos, chaotic workspaces, happy accidents, and everything in between.
What can you post?

🎨Trust the Process: Work-in-progress photos that are looking a little concerning and even updates for art projects after.
🎨Accidental Masterpiece: Mistakes that somehow turned out better than expected.
🎨Craft Table Talk: For craft-related discussions, opinions, hot takes, recommendations, and questions that don't quite fit the other flairs.
🎨Nailed It… Ish: Pinterest fails and expectation vs. reality.
🎨Help, I've Made a Mistake: Projects that went off the rails and need troubleshooting, emergency repairs, or advice before things get even worse.

🎨Craft Crime Scene: Messy workspaces, glitter explosions, tangled supplies, and crafting aftermaths.
Painting, sewing, crochet, knitting, resin, pottery, jewelry, paper crafts, woodworking, DIY projects, and more are all welcome. If it involves making something, there's probably a place for it here!
A few things to keep in mind:
- Be kind. Laugh with people, not at them.
- Keep posts craft-related and use the appropriate post flair.
- Share your own content, and respect other creators' work.
- No AI-generated content. We want real projects and real human-made chaos.
- Keep things safe, and please don't spam or use the community for self-promotion.

craft table talk What's Your Crafting Red Flag?
I would say it's people who need to buy the high end quality thigns for one project like they are gonna be an expert.
I understand an investiment, but if it's a one or two time project, you don't need the $355 cricut.

craft table talk What's your crafting hot take?
What crafting opinion would get you kicked out of the craft room?
I have a couple:
Buying supplies for a new hobby is more fun than actually doing the hobby. and most crafters don't have a storage problem. They have a buying problem.

craft table talk Be Honest: How many unfnished projects do you have right now?
I can say with vertainty that I have four projects.
I have one painting I was doing now I don't want to finish because I dont like the concept and I dont know how to start over
I have two woobles that I have no completed yet because I HATE the instructions and found out yarn and fiber threads are not for me.
I also have 2-4 spreads in my junk journal that I want to finish, but not sure how.
And i probably have over 20 different ideas for art I want to make, but I just dont have the skills.
You know how you can picture a dog, but when you go an draw it, it looks like a gremlin? that's me.
