I live in New Hampshire in a very rural area that has a lot of woods surrounding my home. I hear a lot of interesting animals at night from time to time. Last night I heard an animal going back and forth between barking and howling over and over for about an hour. There would be a few barks and then this long aroo of a howl. But most of the time it was just howl howl howl. I've never heard a dog do this before, and I know there are coyotes in New Hampshire. So I was wondering if this was a coyote or possibly a dog? I am not totally sure that the barking and the howling came from the same animal but I thought it did.
