A week from election day in the U.S., hereâs the Red Headed Stranger reminding us of our civic duty. This was originally released digitally in October 2018 per Discogs. Is anyone aware of a physical release?

I personally love it, as the lyrics and story talk about a man who is touring out West, and when I hear about Montana or Albuquerque, I just get chills, as I have spent time out West before, and the mention of any of the Wild Western states just gets to me in a positive way. Whenever I hear that song, I just picture the moments from the time I spent out West, especially California, and Utah, with the mountains and desert like terrain. It truly hits differently when you hear a song that talks all about a place you have spent time in, and actually experienced, and the Wild West is just amazingly cool.

This band is heavily featured on one MC cassette my grandpa had, but I have not been able to find any info about them online. I am aware that the songs weren't written by them, just sung, but I'd like to know who was behind the band.
I'm pretty new to country, I only started listening because I recently bought an old car with a cassette player radio and found some cassettes after my grandpa. The music is awesome and I'd like to know more about it.
Link to the cassettes:

I find it fascinating when artists turn songs that were definitively not country into country⌠âShamelessâ by Billy Joel/Garth Brooks, âFast Carâ by Tracy Chapman/Luke Combs, âThe Feverâ by Aerosmith/Garth Brooks, âSummertime Bluesâ by Eddie Cochran/Alan Jackson, âHurtâ by Nine Inch Nails/Johnny Cash⌠the list goes on. I think a LOT of Ed Sheeran songs could be country songs with a change in production, âWhen I Was Your Manâ by Bruno Mars has been covered by Thomas Rhett and recently I saw Kenny Whitmire post a cover of it that is phenomenal⌠even Coldplay has a few songs that could make the transition.

Who are the best guitarists within Country music? In terms of technical skill and/or songwriting capabilities. I am a predominantly a fan of Rock and Metal music and there are many "guitar gods."
Guitar wise I do have a particular liking to Dwight Yoakam.
Edit: I learned of Pete Anderson's contribution to Dwight Yoakam. Appreciate it.

Itâs been 2 months since we lost one of the most precious voices of Country Music.
The Heart still aches, Dollyâs songs feel more personal & emotionally heavier. Yet somehow her voice & the music ease that heaviness.
This is just a short tribute I had written for Dolly.
Listening to âI Will Always Love Youâ for the first time could leave you tearful within seconds of it touching your heart.
The atmosphere as the song begins is delicate, with a gentle melody that creates a feeling of warmth and intimacy.
The soothing guitar licks, along with the softer drum fills, settle the air around you.
Dollyâs voice comes in with a warm and silky smoothness, wrapping itself around you.
As the song sways ahead into the chorus, it feels like snowflakes gently falling over you, especially when Dolly sings the line that feels like all those hidden emotions wanting to come out, as she holds that final note of âI Will Always Love You.â
Itâs like youâre in a fairytale of its own. When the instruments and Dollyâs voice come together at the end, it leaves you wanting to stay in this magical world of The Queen of Country Music herself.
Rest easy, Dolly. We will always love you.

Looking to learn some older songs and redo them with a 90's country style.
What songs do you recommend?

Legendary songwriter Whitey Shafer (RIP) was born today in Whitney, Texas, 1934. Some of his hits include âAll My Exâs Live in Texas", "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind", "Thatâs the Way Love Goes", "I Wonder Do You Think of Me", and "I Never Go Around Mirrors."
