Looking for a new PS5?
Unfortunately, my PS4 that I have had for almost 10 years has had its hard drive kick the bucket. Wondering if it is really worth it to try and go through replacing the hard drive and hoping that it works or just go all in on a PS5? Have looked around and have seen the slim and console versions have each had mixed reviews. Thanks!

What "slim and console versions" have mixed reviews exactly? Goin from ps4 to ps5 is def a good upgrade regardless, and opens u up to modern game releases (like gta6 in a few weeks for example). If u have disc ps4 games get the disc ps5 and they can all be played on it.

Gotcha. Definitely considering upgrading, especially with GTA6 coming down the line. Would like to wait for Black Friday if possible, but not sure if retailers will be dropping the price at all

To be honest the thing to worry about is availability of the consoles with gta6 releasing soon. Ps5 pro is basicly out of stock everywhere, and base models could be too (ive already seen online stores here in NL only have external seller ones). Sure could be a black friday drop (Sony generally does that), but if thers no availability....

I’d upgrade to the slim. Can usually find a good deal secondhand. They also have certified refurbished ones for 499 on ps direct which comes with a warranty

It’s super easy to replace the ps4 hard drive it’s not much more difficult than replacing batteries
