>Ryan Higgins has become a key aide to Hegseth since joining the Pentagon, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN, particularly in shaping the defense secretary’s embrace of Christian nationalist themes in speeches and public appearances.
>On his social media platforms, CNN found Higgins defended a video President Donald Trump shared depicting the Obamas as apes, said same-sex marriage was “abominable,” and speculated about how many abortions former Vice President Kamala Harris might have had, citing her age and claiming she had a “long record of sleeping around.”
>CNN senior investigative reporter Allison Gordon shares her reporting and Rep. Adam Smith of the Armed Services Committee reacts to Higgins' posts.

I think about this video often, and I always find myself wondering if the day for its official broadcast will ever come. What are your thoughts? Do you think it would be forgotten if Doomsday truly came, or would CNN air it?

>On the campaign trail in 2024, President Donald Trump promised to make gas dirt-cheap again and blamed record-high gas prices on the Biden-Harris “war on energy.”
>But then an actual war got in the way: Trump’s deeply unpopular conflict with Iran.
>Nearly eight months into a war that has destabilized the global energy system, the average price of gas during Trump’s second term is now more expensive than it was during the Biden era, according to a CNN analysis of AAA data.
>CNN's Matt Egan runs through the numbers and CNN White House correspondent Alayna Treene reports on the Trump administration's concerns over gas prices heading into the midterm elections. Also, CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp and former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker react to Trump's messaging on high gas prices.

Can someone please explain why CNN won't give All-Access subscribers Jake Tapper at 6:00 p.m.?
Instead, we get Jim Scuitto, and it's always less reporting because it seems like it's not budgeted the same. I really loved his reporting in Ukraine but his 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. show seems to be more of a b-rated guest list. 🤷♀️
Are we "lesser than" because we pay for a subscription instead of cable? 🤔 I would imagine it is more expensive to have two airings at the same time slot?
I don't know if I should start a different discussion about the new sound when it goes to commercial, but I can't stand it! It used to be silent for the most part, and sometimes a few ads, but now it's just an obnoxious sound that wakes my animals.😳
It's louder than the channel itself. I remember when advertisers were penalized for making their ads a different volume, brighter, with flashing lights. Anything to help the big corporations feeding his pockets.

… but “Republican strategist”? For whom? If he’s “strategizing,” actual Republicans aren’t taking his advice. He generally apologizes for MAGA excesses and he’s saying “we” to place himself in a party that hasn’t existed for years. And most of his analysis is in the form of questions that are in the realm of the hypothetical. Hate him or merely loathe him, Scott Jennings is the true representative of a hateful, dishonest and racist Republican Party. Shermichael refuses to acknowledge the absurdity of identifying with a party and a leader who view him as an inferior variety of human

Stammering and stuttering Todd Blanche is such an unserious person. He's practically hysterical as he sidesteps every question Dana has asked him. Shouldn't lawyers be able to keep their composure when presenting arguments/engaging in debate? What a pathetic display.
