Chess Improvement How do you stop tilting after a bad loss instead of queueing again angry?
My biggest rating killer is not any single weakness, it is that after a frustrating loss I immediately play another game while still annoyed and play worse, then chase it, and lose three more. I know stepping away is the answer, I just do not do it in the moment. For people who got their tilt under control, what actually works, a hard rule like stop after two losses, a short break, switching to puzzles? Looking for something practical because willpower alone clearly is not cutting it for me.

Chess Question lowkey hate Blitz
Am I the only one who really struggles to get their Blitz rating near to your Rapid and Bullet rating?
The highest I got in Blitz was probably around 2070 whilst I am more than 200 points ahead in the other catogories. Does anyone have advice how to get consistently better at Blitz?

Chess Improvement Does anyone know how to beat this bot?
For the life of me i cannot beat zach, every time i manage to get down into an endgame and get all his dangerous pieces off he always ends up a piece ahead and checkmates me. Any ideas?

Chess Question How much time do you put into openings versus everything else?
I think I fell into the trap of memorizing opening lines because it feels productive, and then I get taken out of book by move six and have no idea what the plan actually was. My middlegame and endgame are clearly weaker but I keep defaulting to opening study because it is easier. For people who actually improved, roughly how did you split your study time, and at my kind of level does deep opening prep even matter yet or is it mostly a distraction?

Chess Improvement Going old-school?
I'm fairly new to chess and mostly play on Chess.com. I'm looking to improve my game and was thinking about going old-school and reading some chess books. Is this a good idea? Would love to hear some thoughts from experienced players!
