Where to buy football boots
Where can I find quality football boots? Are there any stores offering upper tier Nike, Adidas, Puma etc? Not cheap kids or beginner level but in the £100+ range

As the title, the wife has produced some spooky cupcakes for her work at the hospital.
Banged these out in a single evening which is always impressive to me.
Thoughts?

When I was a child my grandmother used to take me to a pub that had a low beam with a poem written on it, something like:
'This beam is very old,
And hard as we've been told,
Lest you wish to prove this to be true
Please bow your head as you pass through'
Does anyone know which pub this is? Had an amazing sticky toffee pudding, from memory. Thanks

As the title says! Basically entered something on insta a couple weeks ago they only contacted me last yesterday and sent the tickets this afternoon. I can’t go as my kids are off to my parents. So if anyone has no plans with their little one tomorrow give me a shout and I’ll send the info and tickets over. Would hate for them to go to waste.

I remember about 20 years ago I’d gone in there to buy Dragon Ball figurines. Fairly sure it closed soon after, and remains closed to this day.
Does anyone have the deep lore of who owns it, why it’s not been turned into a vape shop etc.? Guessing the rumours that it had Chinese deep state connections is pure speculation?

Hi all
I've got a ticket for this I can't use and am looking to sell it for £20. Get in touch if you'd like it.

Thank you to Di who helped my Mum yesterday by the bus stop near Primark.
She was running for the bus and tripped. Di was coming off the bus and stopped to ensure she was ok. She sat with her and checked her out to make sure she had no concussion.
My nephew called me and told me what happened and for us to pick her up. Di came on the phone and explained everything that had happened.
She is all ok. My wife took her to the minor injuries unit, she had a slight sprain in her wrist and she had to get the cut on her chin glued. The cut was ironically caused by her “healing” crystal around her neck :)
Luckily she didn’t bang her head on the ground.
Thank you to the bus driver who did come off the bus to check too. But Di had it under control.
If you are Di, hold your head up high knowing you are an amazing person.
If someone you know tells you she helped a lady who fell, please show her this and give her a hug as she is a wonderful person.

The wife is away tonight and the weather is miserable so I’m going to treat myself to a takeaway.
Just after recommendations of something I might not have considered before. Ideally something that’s good for one person (so maybe not a Chinese as tend to share quite a few things).

Where would be the best place to buy wooden pallets please? I only need a couple and would need them delivered as my car isn’t quite big enough.

Hello there. I’m trying my hand at learning to read and write in Japanese. Maybe eventually speak it one day too! I was wondering if there are some local Japanese people in Cheltenham/Gloucester area that would like to be friends? I’m a 33 year old male, lover of manga/anime and wildlife.
I’m a huge fan of Japanese culture, so it would be great to form some new friendships and deepen my love for Japan altogether 🤗

I bought a ticket to see the war correspondent Jeremy Bowen speak on Wed, 28 Oct at 1930 in the town hall. It cost £42.
I can no longer attend so am selling for £20 if anyone is interested.

Just as the title says. What would you pick ? It’s for a family of four. Two kids me and my wife. What’s better in-terms of fireworks general atmosphere and entertainment? Ticket prices are almost the same and both of these locations are not too far from where we live.
Thank you in advance.

Any Trinbagonian families in Cheltenham who may be interested in communication or meet ups? We're a Christian family, early 40's with a little one... Not into partying 😊 it might be lovely to chat.

Hi Cheltenham people,
Lots of people clearly have been finding it hard to find people around their age to hang out with. I've found some nice things to join in with, but it's usually people much older than me.
I love board games, so if anyone is interested in going to one of the monthly Incom gaming Mondays (next is 2nd Nov), shoot me a DM. It would be fun to meet some new people!
24M (I'm not a Reddit user really sorry if I don't do it quite right!)

Hi, my wife is thinking of starting a meals on wheels type offering to support the elderly and most likely in the Cleeve/Prestbury areas. It would consist of a hot lunch and/or tea/dessert. Just wondered whether anyone has a need for this for friends/family to try and gauge the demand.
She's an experienced cook/chef with cafe/nursing home/homeless catering background and wants to do something more local and for those that need good nutrition who maybe need some support, so not a drop and run service, but a very much considerate and personal one.
Any comments appreciated. (She's obtained 5 star h&h rating previously and is taking the steps to get assessed in a home kitchen prior to starting).

Moved to Cheltenham a couple months back, looking for a footy team to play for or even just to train. M25 here with an average skill level, used to play 5 a side friendlies regularly in Cardiff, hoping to get back to playing.

BOO! Bet that scared the absolute pants off you, didn’t it?! What’s NOT scary is the fact that Not A Cult improv returns to Smokey Joe’s!
Performing in this show we have the suitable spooky Deaddie O’Grief, EllAAAARRGGGHHH James, Jamie Scho-Haunted-Corn-FIELD, Cerys Deadwards, Nick Burns-At-The-Stake, Daniel Handsaw, and Steve!
We never know what to expect at shows because it’s all entirely made up on the spot! And you, the audience, will get to decide which cast members get tricked or treated based upon your own (and often insane) suggestions!
So grab your frighteningly cheap tickets at just £5 each (£7.50 on the door), a glass of Not A Cultaid from the bar and enjoy an evening of pant wettingly good improv!
BEST AUDIENCE COSTUME WINS FREE TICKETS TO A FUTURE SHOW!!
(Please DO NOT come with a sacrifice. This is an improv show. Not a cult meeting.)
Thank you to Cerys for the wonderful poster

Hi, we’re four friends putting together restaurants across Cheltenham in an app called Vota.
The idea is simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example: Le Champignon Sauvage or Paparrito’s? The votes create a ranking that we hope gives a better picture of where people actually enjoy eating.
We’re trying to include as many restaurants as possible and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will spot things we’ve missed.
iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212
Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app
Full transparency: we’re not from Cheltenham. Two of us live in Copenhagen and two in Gothenburg. The four of us are building Vota independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated restaurant descriptions.
Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly. Where do you like to eat in Cheltenham?

Anyone here able to give a price for the following, delivered to GL52? I'm no a tradie, just a DIYer, so can't get those decent trade prices. Able to pay cash if it gets a bit more off.
I'm after:
7 x 12mm plywood sheet (2440 x 1220)
6 x 100mm insulation board (2400 × 1200)
7 x 3mm white hardboard (2440 × 1220)
