Who more often has a job: people who stayed in their country or people who moved to another EU country? 2024
Source: Eurostat, Labour Force Survey: EU/EFTA citizens of working age who usually reside in another EU/EFTA country LFST_LMBPCITA, population by citizenship LFSA_PGANWS, employment rates LFST_LMBERCITA and LFSA_ERGAN.
Citizens aged 20-64 living in another EU or EFTA country, as a share of all citizens of that age living either there or at home. Counts citizenship, not country of birth. The UK, which was a major destination for several countries, is not counted in either year. No figure: Denmark, Malta, Cyprus, Liechtenstein. Eurostat flags: Iceland 2024 low reliability; Bulgaria and France break in series; Spain and France definition differs. * outside the EU.

Thin plastic bags used per person, 2019 and 2024, EU and Norway
Source: Eurostat, consumption of lightweight plastic carrier bags by their wall thickness [ENV_WASPCB], number per inhabitant, 2019 and 2024, as reported under Directive (EU) 2015/720: https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/databrowser/view/env_waspcb/default/table
How each country counts: Eurostat, country-specific notes on lightweight plastic carrier bag consumption (October 2025): https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/cache/metadata/Annexes/env_waspcb_esms_an_Country-specific_notes_-_Consu.pdf
Thin bags are plastic carrier bags under 50 microns handed out at the point of sale, counted per resident. Every country must report the total, including bags exempt from its own levy; the split into very thin bags (under 15 microns, mostly fruit and vegetable bags) and checkout-weight bags (15 to 49 microns) is voluntary, so some countries give only the total. Countries count differently (packaging registers, tax records, shop surveys). Thicker bags of 50 microns or more fall outside the thin-bag count and are reported voluntarily by 13 countries; a blank means no figure. Poland's count comes from shop records, and Eurostat notes it may be affected by shops that do not charge customers for bags. Flags: Czechia, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Liechtenstein definition differs; Cyprus, Iceland provisional; Netherlands break in series 2024; France changed method in 2020. No 2024 figure: Bulgaria (2022: 132), Romania (2023: 106), Switzerland. * outside the EU.

A timeline of all the times Trump has said the war in Iran is going to be ending "soon" or "quickly"
I've been tracking all of Trump's statements on the status of the war in Iran. I noticed he says it's going to be over soon or quickly a lot. So I did a keyword search with those two words and the resulting timeline is above. I included some samples from the past 7 months, too, so you can get a taste of what these statements are generally like.
The President first said the war would be finished quickly back in March and has continued to use that vague timeline ever since. Just this week, he's used those two words 5 separate times to describe the apparently imminent! end of the war.
You can see all the instances yourself if you'd like to on the interactive version of the timeline visualization. You can also search your own keywords and see where they fall on the timeline. (The end being close is another of my favorites.) On the interactive version, clicking any point brings up the corresponding quote(s) and as you can see from above, many quotes overlapping are grouped together.

Some information on the uk grid interconnecters and current battery storage
I created this website as I wanted to compare the energy mix between different countries. Starting with UK and Ireland. It's expanded over time as items grabbed my interest.
Here are graphs showing how much the uk imported and exported electricity and to/from who over the last month.
Also is our current battery usage.

Macrotrends.net population vs inflation
I dont think this is a coincidence. Interested in others' opinions as I keep hearing that population has nothing to do with inflation. I would figure if political climate was relevant, you'd see ups and downs every four-eight years (on the US population graph, this is the world pop, but same trend if you look it up on there)
It's just too similar IMO but open to other opinions

The “20 Million Immigrants Under Biden” Claim vs. Official Federal Immigration Data
The claim that 20 million undocumented immigrants entered the U.S. under Biden has been repeated by Donald Trump, other political figures, and on social media.
This graphic compares that claim with official federal data.
According to CBP, there were about 8.7 million southwest border encounters during fiscal years 2021–2024. But encounters are not the same as unique people who entered and stayed. One person can be counted more than once, and many were expelled, returned, or removed.
In FY2024 alone, DHS reported more than 700,000 removals and returns, including 271,484 ICE removals.
So while the encounter totals were very high, they do not prove that 20 million people entered and remained in the U.S
