Fucking A, i hope some of these memes end up on the next college gameday and it becomes tradition, so much so, that he claims every university is bullying him and he's forced to resign because he wont travel anywhere.
Now THAT would be a true Team Chaos Natty win, right there.

The year is 2028: ESPN announces that College Gameday will be in Provo for all 12 weeks because it's the only place Pat feels safe anymore.

He would instantly be more likeable if he just leaned into it, took the joke. Like, think of Chuck on Inside the NBA. Charles Barkley doesn't have to sit there and let himself be made to look silly but he does because he's a good sport and seems like a chill guy, and people love it and love him. Not saying Pat McAfee would jump to Barkley levels of being loved or anything like that but it wouldn't hurt.

I'd expect ESPN to give people the FSU treatment and either take the sign off them or not let them in if they don't like the sign; They may do this as standard but the first I heard about it being a major issue was FSU fans having Herbstreit signs

We as a society are confused by what appears to be a harmless video.
To Pat Mcafee & cocaine, every single kid in the audience is Che Guevara.

I watched Pat when he first started his podcast and even though he was a lot different back then he was always EXTREMELY sensitive to criticism.
He seems like he doesn’t understand why anybody doesn’t like him. Big “invites himself to the party and wonders why people aren’t happy he’s there” energy.

Will the Hoosiers take it easy on him this week?

u/BurtReynoldsLives 16h ago
Naw. In think they cook him. It’s way too sweet of an opportunity to pass up.

u/FreeSpeechIsDeadge 15h ago
They’ve only been watching football for 2 years so they may not even know who he is.

Eh honestly probably not Indiana is literally Pat McAfee home operations. He's still a local sports guy here. Like as much as I find him annoying at this point he has donated a good amount of money for Indy charities and has a lot of good will to burn though first. Honestly might be the reason GameDay is going there to let it blow over because there's WAY better games and interesting places to go to this week.

u/Squantoon 11h ago
No disrespect to Indiana but I couldn't believe this was the game they chose to go to

u/sailor776 11h ago
Man I've been in IU fan for about 25 years and live in Bloomington and I don't understand why they picked us either. I have no love for Kentucky and I'd much rather they go to Kentucky. Hell literally anyone in the G6 I'd rather have.

u/Squantoon 11h ago
Well....if they came here this weekend pat wouldn't have to be scared because we are on a bye 🤣

He made College Gameday almost unwatchable. Reminds me of a douche WWE actor when he stands on a chair and yells at the top of his lungs to get attention ffs

GameDay viewership is up 27% since he joined...
2
u/Mix1009 6h ago
Is it possible that is due to how Nielsen changed how they do their ratings or does he post-date that change?
1
u/OrangeLFG 4h ago
It depends. They've changed a few things. In 2020, they slowly began rolling out some that didn't go into full effect until 2025 (and more new ones this year).
He joined full time in 2022. He did part time starting in 2019.
I would say it expanded largely because of him and Saban given the boost in younger viewers and females, but there's probably a lot of both.

Pat MAGAfee is such a baby. I can’t wait until he takes his $100 mill and fucks off into obscurity.

u/SillyOperation1293 15h ago
Wasn’t aware he was MAGA. Never liked him anyway though.

He’s a successful NFL athlete. Of course he’s MAGA. Next thing you’re going to tell me is that you’re surprised that the blue haired barista with a septum piercing is a Democrat.

u/SillyOperation1293 13h ago
I mean it’s not shocking, but I didn’t know it was official. Also, there’s plenty of girls in the South with dyed hair and piercings who are insanely conservative.

Pretty soft for someone who makes his living off of being controversial. He even admits people are always taking shots at him but calling him corny and jabbing at how he’s always taking his shirt off is where he draws the line. Weird.

I mean, give me his salary and any school can say whatever tf they want about me.

u/ufailowell 9h ago
we live in america. how many more schools does he want to ban for a school shooting? maybe he should talk to his WWE watch party buddy, the president, to try to make him less scared?

McAfee may have created a Streisand effect. You draw attention to something irrelevant (her wedding), then it blows up in media. We may hopefully see more college videos and lil bitch McAfee reacting. I'm here for it.
5
u/thatsnuffy 14h ago
Streisand effect was about pictures of her house which no one would have known or cared about until she tried to get the photos taken down.
The photos were taken to document coastal erosion by the way.
2
u/ClearanceItem 14h ago
You're right. The McAfee scenario should be labeled as Streisand Echo or Feud Amplification per google.
3
u/thatsnuffy 13h ago
Oh I agree with you, just wanted to clarify how stupid and unnecessary the originating instance was.

u/Rhizical 16h ago
For a guy who considers himself a “polarizing figure” he’s taking the world’s lightest jabs incredibly poorly

u/ComplexLow6723 15h ago
I see Pat is discovering the midlife gatekeep. Hard to accept at first, especially at his age, but we all eventually do, we have no choice after 40. God forbid he actually has to use his “talent” now.

Dude was a professional football player, guarantee that he's heard things that are actually offensive said towards him, the Mountaineers, and the Colts
Genuinely insane that something this vanilla upset him

u/Metacog_Drivel 16h ago
Telling him to keep his shirt on is basically trying to unalive him in his culture.

The students said they loved him in the video and he likened it to a death threat I can’t

Memes aside, he had a pretty strong reaction to a harmless video. He probably only saw the video by searching his mentions right before he went live on Gameday.
He is about to get trolled so hard for the next 6-7 weeks on campuses.
Everyone is sick of him, I could see him imploding on air, having a real freak out. Think if people boo or something!
