If he stays healthy and plays like this all season Into the playoffs then I’d say we won the trade in the short term. Just have to make those draft picks count now and this trade might seem like a steal in a couple years.

Celtics fans, can we allow ourselves a moment to peruse our roster and fall upon the name of Mike Conley before we continue drowning in our sorrows of a lost season?
Mike Conley is the most underrated point guard possibly in history, alongside Kelly Tripuka.
Our follies are plenty, but I am a follower of apophenia and I look for patterns to forecast the road ahead. Hear me out.
Last night against the Bulls (6 banners (12 less than us)) he shot 100% from the field with 6 points in 7 minutes. That is 11.6 points a second. Incredible value.
The last player to do this was Jared Dudley December 26th 2024 when he played for the Milwaukee Bucks (2 banners (16 less than ours))

Mike Conley is with us for a reason, and that reason is the season. We need him to be a post season riser and close out every game, and then every round, and then every game of the championship, until we have #19.

Someone please get the message to Joe that if he really wants to intentionally foul up 6 or whatever fine. But they have to burn more clock in between fouls.
Literally fouling when the ball handler is just trying to cross half court, could shave off 3 more seconds easy.
I know this isn’t the first time this has happened where they intentionally foul way too early.

What happens when Robin wants to be Batman?
Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown says he has no beef with longtime former Boston Celtics teammate Jayson Tatum. He says Tatum comes from a good family, and they’ve accomplished great things together, like an NBA championship. Brown even says Tatum is a hell of a basketball player.
“He’s got a great PR team. It’s no beef, but it might be a little lamb chop. And some gravy. He should stay ready at all times,” Brown said of his relationship with Tatum.
Those are definitely shots. And if you’ve ever cooked, you know lamb is a great substitute for beef. Corny response? Absolutely. But the message can’t be overlooked.
The former teammates have been sparring in public over the past few days. As Tatum said Friday night after beating the New York Knicks, though, “This ain’t no f—ing Shaq and Kobe.”
During Brown’s final season in Boston, Tatum was recovering from a ruptured right Achilles tendon, and it was widely thought the Celtics wouldn’t be as good of a team without him. But Brown led the team to a 56-26 record, good for second in the Eastern Conference last season. The 30-year-old averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 71 games and was an All-Star.
The Celtics had a first-round playoff exit, but in a season mostly without Tatum, Brown thrived. That on its own probably would’ve been fine. But then Brown told us what he thought.
In Boston, Brown was perceived by many as the Robin to Tatum’s Batman. In truth, though, they became interchangeable depending on the situation. They were the Jays, the dynamic duo. Brown had been a hero in the past; in 2024, he was named NBA Finals MVP. But what was different last year was that Brown, for the majority of the season, was a solo act. You could understand if he wanted more. With his Twitch streams, Brown told us in so many ways that he believed he could be the guy.

P.S: Tbh I don't think Tatum ever wins MVP.
Modern MVP winners need to get more usage, flop a lot and whine to the refs a lot. Tatum pushes off a lot, but isn't a megaflopper and constant whiner to refs like SGA, Jokic, Giannis and Luka.

In Cenacs 5 minutes last night, he drained a 3. It occurred to me that not only is this his first career 3 pointer, it's his first points period.
