One of my favorites from guard.
Enthusiastic white belts will go forearm to throat, which elicits a fake gurgle, which makes them double down, which makes it easy to pop their elbow across and lock this in. Figure 4 the arms and extend the legs.

Yup!
Super simple sweep there too!

This. Choke, sweep, back take. Eventually they realize a forearm on your throat is a terrible idea.

You don't *need* to extend the legs but that is definitely one way to finish and I pedantically agree with your overall take.

Except not at all? It’s a head-and-arm choke or an arm triangle variation, how is it a buggy choke in any way?

I hit this on one blue belt at my gym all the time. For some reason he reaches across his body to the other side of my head all the time trying to open my guard. Falls right into this.

I see this submission questioned here regularly, and from my perspective this is a bread and butter technique that should be taught as part of a fundamental curriculum.
In this forum I see people ask about it and question the legitimacy of it every so often, so it's nice to see it posted in one of these competition vids.
