No Prescription Bravecto

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let all the US bird hunters know that in Europe you don't need a prescription for Bravecto. I just used Pet Bucket for the first time (a British website), and found that Bravecto cost half as much compared to Chewy, and I didn't need a prescription. This is going to save so much on 6 month vet check ups.

I saw they had heartguard as well for much less than Chewy, but I didn't order any as my dogs are still good on that for now.

I'm not associated with the website. I just found it neat since my vet would only write one 6 month prescription at a time, trying to get me for 2 wellness checks per year.

My first bird dog any tips and tricks for training would be greatly appreciated. I've done research on training but was curious to know if anyone had any lesser known tips or something you wish you knew when you first started with bird dogs. I hunt ducks and geese but could she be trained for upland birds as well or will I just confuse her?

Anyone else with a non-traditional breed that's a killer bird dog?

My boy is mostly Heeler and Border collie with another 14 breeds on his DNA chart; only 5% golden retriever and 3% American Cocker Spaniel for hunting breeds.

He's a year old so this is his first full hunting season as an active participant and we've gotten into doves, grouse, pheasant, ducks and geese. He's brought back everything except the geese because he's just under 40lbs but has no trouble with the rest!

Still working out some kinks on the waterfowl side of things but he's great with upland hunting already.

His recall is so good we've been able to avoid needing to purchase a shock-collar so far. He's crazy smart, I'm always impressed with how quickly he learns new skills and switches between different styles of hunting.
