๐ŸThis is a great way to see how your super is going with this observation window, as you know when your super is full and ready to harvest that capped cells.

๐ŸGreat yr for a nectar flower this spring with plenty of rain and sunny days.

๐ŸI should get at least 8-9 kg of honey out of this minni super.

๐ŸYummy! ๐Ÿ˜‹

question What have 40 years of listening to bees taught us? ๐Ÿ

Hello bee lovers! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’›

I'm Hiba fromย Ballot-Flurin, a family-owned beekeeping company nestled in the French Pyrenees.

For over 40 years, our team has been developing a philosophy we callย Apiculture Douceยฎ (Gentle Beekeeping).

At the heart of our approach is a belief that guides everything we do:ย bees are not simply honey producers. They are living, sensitive beings with their own rhythms, intelligence and extraordinary social organization.

This philosophy has inspired us to rethink our relationship with bees.

๐ŸŒฟ We use wooden hives made from local materials, without glue or plastic.

๐Ÿ We don't feed our colonies sugar, even organic sugar.

๐ŸŒธ We prioritize gentle beekeeping practices, observation and respect for their natural cycles.

For us, beekeeping is not only about what bees can provide, but also about what we can learn from them.

I'm here to share our experience, discover different perspectives and connect with people who share our fascination for these extraordinary creatures.

Here's a question I'd love to ask this community: what's the most surprising thing you've ever observed about bee behavior?ย ๐Ÿ

Looking forward to reading your stories and observations!
