arch kernel with Ubuntu init system.
more or less what it said on the tin. I hijacked Ubuntu and use its stability and wide compatibility for most things, and other strata for weirder stuff (for example i use arch for unstable stuff if theres not an Ubuntu build of said package on its beta channel ). for that reason, i want to use arches kernel, but want to still use the ubnutu int system

Bedrock Linux supports this. There's a couple caveats to keep in mind:
A bootloader from one stratum may not auto-detect a new kernel from another stratum. You may have to manually instruct the bootloader to check if there's a new kernel. I think with Ubuntu's kernel that's
update-grubas root, but double check me here. Since Arch doesn't usually change its kernel file name on updates, you may only have to do this once when you first install the kernel. If you're on proprietary nVidia drivers, you have to jump through hoops to make sure the kernel stratum and any that use the graphics device share the exact same driver version. This can be a pain, sadly, especially for users without sufficient background.
