Hello everyone! This subreddit is approaching 1.3 million members, so the mod team needs to grow as well!
We are looking for users who are active in the community and who understand the rules. Although moderation experience is a plus, it is not required. Hey beauties! As we approach 1 million subscribers, we are fine tuning the rules and made a designated page to see more detailed lists of posts we remove under Rule 1.
We understand just stating the rule so plainly leaves room for interpretation, while the side bar might not give enough room for explanation.
To improve the quality of the subreddit, we have broken down in detail (and will keep doing so) what we consider low quality and off topic in our new beauty wiki. This way, there should be less confusion on why posts labeled as low quality/off topic might have been removed. While browsing the wiki, you may notice some overlap with Rules 2 through 6, but they all relate back to Rule 1 due to preserving quality.
As a reminder, a high quality/on topic post would have a specific beauty-related question be addressed, or solve a specific beauty-related problem. For example, "How can I draw winged eyeliner more consistently on each eye" would be a high-quality post because it asks a specific question. In contrast, "EYE MAKEUP HELP" makes it harder for users to give their beauty tips because it's too vague.
When in doubt, please review the beauty wiki to see if your post would be in violation of Rule 1 before posting to avoid removal and ban.
We also invite you to leave feedback here of any other posts you feel are off-topic and low quality that have not been addressed. Please let us know if you have any questions!

i recently started using lash clusters. my lashes r naturally pretty long but kind of brittle and lately (before i started using clusters) i noticed they started falling out a lot and the volume wasn’t what i wanted.
i have been considering using lash serums (ik it’s bad but lowkey my eyes r already super dark so i dont rlly care) and i don’t want to use lash clusters all the time.
so basically does anyone have any good lash serums recs? or should i not use that and keep using lash clusters to give my lashes a break from mascara? or should i just stick to mascara and apply castor oil?
idk what to do and ive been looking everywhere for some type of guidance!!!
**also i rlly like applying lash clusters and using them but im scared that it’ll be bad for my lashes even if i take them off right

Looking for some suggestions …. I don’t want to put on a full face of makeup. I just want to cover some under eye bags/dark circles without it looking cakey and crepey. I’ve tried to just use concealer and it just settles in the lines under my eyes. Any suggestions?
Ive been over plucking my eyebrows and now I want them to look how they used too (third pic) how do I get them back to that? I used castor oil however they aren't growing back in alot of places, I can't use minoxidil because I have cats, is there anything similar that is pet safe?

Hello,
I am going to buy dyson supersonic original in india. Will be travelling to another country with the same voltage capacity.
Hair type: curly 2c-3a. I NEED the hair dryer there.
Now the plug type in india is different from Type G used in singapore/UK. How do I use my hairdryer there? Any trusted converters you all have used before?

I’ve had multiple people saying I need to fix my eyebrows or “get them done” but I’m not sure what to do? I’m a redhead so my brows are blonde; I have to create some sort of shape. Are they too thin? Too thick? What even are brows. HELP

I came across this on Amazon and from the photo, it looks like a hair straightening brush that is double sided like a flat iron, but with rows of teeth on both sides. A day later when I went to add it to my cart, the photo was gone and replaced with one of those single sided straightening brushes like you usually see. I really want a hair tool like the photo. Any brand is fine. Does this even exist?

I feel like finding a good moisturiser is harder than it should bee. Some feel too heavy, some don’t keep my skin hydrated for long, and others just don’t seem to work for my skin. I’ve realised that a moisturiser doesn’t have to be expensive to be good, but finding the right texture makes a big difference. Gel-based ones can feel great during hot weather, while creamier ones are nice when your skin feels dry. I’m curious, what moisturisers have you been loving lately? Would love to hear your recommendations, especially affordable ones that are worth trying

I’m looking for an actual skin moisturizer that has a tint to it, bonus if it has spf. I was a makeup artist for years. I worked at Ulta and Sephora… at this point in my life (38) I’m over wearing makeup and a full beat. In fact, I rarely wear foundation. It would be nice to have something I could throw on and go. But it seems like bb/cc creams and tinted moisturizers are just foundation to me. Is there anything out there like that? Skincare first with a lil bit of something? Been out of the game a while.

I'm desperately seeking an eyebrow tint that also stains the skin and lasts for a decent amount of time (72 hours or more). I don't have eyebrow tails so I need to draw them on. It's annoying and the days I don't do it I feel self conscious, so was looking for a longer lasting method.
I tried the SHEGLAM Tint Lock Tattoo Peel off Brow Gel (72hr wear) yesterday and left it on for the recommended 2 hours and was SO impressed and thought I found what I needed. The applicator was also great and I was able to do hair-like strokes and I was so excited. Unfortunately it was a bit faded after waking up this morning and then almost completely gone after a shower soon after (where I didn't wash around my eyebrows whatsoever). Luckily I'm only out $7, but still, I'm bummed!
Microblading is a dream but not in my budget currently. Any recommendations?
Tl;dr I need an eyebrow tint that:
Thanks!!

Hi! I am looking for a new moisturiser as I feel the one I currently use (Ceramol), is not hydrating enough for the winter season. Besides, I now live in a nordic country, and ai cycle to work, so my face is exposed to cold and wind a lot. Anyway, I am looking for a moisturiser that will keep my skin nourished throughout the day. I feel my skin becomes especially dry on my forehead, and also I my skin in sensitive so it doesn’t tolerate certain ingredients like fragrances. Any advice is welcome!

The regular Laura Mercier blush in the color strawberry was my favorite but I can’t find it??? And it doesn’t say it was discontinued on their website?? Anyone know what happened?

Does anyone know of a (much) cheaper dupe of the Augustinus Bader rich cream? I googled it and said about the Naturium Rich Cream and I tried that but it’s not that great and smells weird.
TIA! 🥰

I have a good routine. I use Tatcha rice wash and Tatcha dewy moisturiser. My skin is naturally quite dry. I exfoliate about once a fortnight. I don't have any blemishes. I just want to add something to my routine that gives me a glow ! It could be a face mask or a toner or even a primer. What have you tried that achieved this ? What really impressed you?

I'm working on my makeup routine and postpartum/tired mom glow up. I need to figure out what to do for my eyelashes. They are short and stick out straight. I don't want to commit to extensions. Lash serum would be okay if it's a brush on the lashes one, not the lash line/lid. Should I focus on curling technique (which I'm horrible at right now) and lash extension mascara? Try to get better at applying strips? Are there any that stay on for a few days? I need something easy, fast, and low maintenance.

I have acne prone skin and it does get dry as well. I did take Accutane for a while and I’ve completed my treatment, but I still get some acne-mainly on my temples. A friend of mine recommend doing sheet masks daily to help. I do have sensitive skin as well and I’d like to keep it in the affordable price range. Any recommendation? Thanks!

I have used this specific brand of bobby pins for years. They have a rubberized coating which means they stay put in my thin-textured, slippery hair. Regular bobby pins slip down pretty immediately in my hair, so these have been a lifesaver. I’m down to my final few, and cannot find anything similar when I do a google search. So - does anyone know where I can find something similar? And if not, does anyone have any suggestions for other types of pins that may work on my hair type? I have fine hair that is thick, and is super smooth so it doesn’t hold a style very well.
