New /r/baseball layout!
Hello /r/baseball! New moderator laaabaseball here! Over the last week the mod team has been discussing the sidebar and layout in depth, especially after all of your feedback posts.
Well take a look at the new layout! New curvy boxes, blue headers with ribbon effects, and a bunch of little things that you'll have to find yourself :)
Oh, and I have to apologize.. those pesky (for RES users) team subreddits in the header overlapping and conflicting with the userbar was my idea. :(
This is a problem no more! The new layout features a fancy dropdown menu with the team subreddits, and the standings in the sidebar. There are also a few new tweaks that will make the subreddit look nicer, and some that add a small bit of functionality!
Examples:
| OMG | A | TABLE | :) |
|---|---|---|---|
| MLB | STUFF | Yeah! | MORE! |
Updated spoiler code (old one doesn't work anymore)
[x kills y](/spoiler)
Example:
If you have any issues/suggestions with the new layout, please message me directly or message the moderators!
Thanks!
~laaabaseball
Edit: We also have a new Twitter account - follow @baseballreddit

Out. Standing.
Feature request: A way to set a filter to remove posts from Dodger fans? Or perhaps a way to remove them from the planet entirely?
I kid, I kid! Looks great. Thank you.

The hits/strikeouts is a nice touch, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Awesome! But one thing, you're using the outdated logos for the Jays, Marlins and Orioles in the sidebar. I think the Nats one may be outdated too.
But other than that awesome job!

Looks great! The only thing that seems weird about it to me is that it seems like East and West should be swapped on the sidebar and in the dropdowns. Not because I'm all "oooh, I'm a Sox fan, and we should be first!" but because MLB and most networks/etc. list divisions from left to right and top to bottom as East/Central/West. I think most people are used to looking for West at the bottom or right, etc.

I love the sidebar!
Maybe my only suggestion would be to drop the 3 letter codes and just use the record? Most of the logos are discernable at the size and gives a bit more breathing room. Big fan of the Team dropdowns moving too! Thanks for all the work!

On the drop down menu for teams, I think it would make more sense for it to go east, central, west from top to bottom.

Awesome! Special thanks from a RES user!
I do have one suggestion: I've always thought the up and down arrows in this sub should look like home plate. :D

This is absolutely glorious. I always thought it was sad that my favorite sub-reddit had such a bland design. Great job, guys.

This text overwrites whatever was here before. Apologies for the non-sequitur.
Reddit's CEO says moderators are “landed gentry”. That makes users serfs and peons, I guess? Well this peon will no longer labor to feed the king. I will no longer post, comment, moderate, or vote. I will stop researching and reporting spam rings, cp perverts and bigots. I will no longer spend a moment of time trying to make reddit a better place as I've done for the past fifteen years.
In the words of The Hound, fuck the king. The years of contributions by your serfs do not in fact belong to you.

Thank you mods! Looks great!
Edit: I especially love the "74 hits, 4 strikeouts". Subtle and perfect

I love it. I also just want to say thanks for the alignment of the standings. It is nice to see the NL on top, and it read West to East, for just once.

The new look is great, but I don't think the Brewers/Astros/Cubs are all 12-12
