Some welds from my coworkers
These are actual welds I’ve had to repair on this project I’m working on. It baffles me these guys showed up & got paid to “weld”for a few weeks.

Hey all, thanks for helping this community grow! Big thanks to all of you for being good people and being active.
As some of you know there are a bunch of spam post and post that don’t belong here and I , as the only mod can’t keep up with 26,000 people. If a couple of you are interested in helping out, please send me a message and some details on why you think you could help out with this community.
Thanks all!

I gave him this small trailer repair on a scrap trailer we have out back. He just has a cheap machine and some flux core wire. How can he improve and what should he work on? I got a buddy in metal fab and can get scrap from him to practice with. Also I couldn’t post on [r/welding](r/welding) so that’s why it’s here.

Wedge parts are easy to slip while cutting. This setup produces clean cuts with little burr, less grinding needed for batch work.

We took two new packs of welding wire, but after a few clean layers, we found rust inside. We struggled with the settings for a long time until we looked inside and realized what was causing the problem.

First time ever welding with no prior training/experience guided with 15 minutes of YouTube tutorial. Also for people telling me to grind the paint before hand, I already did. Just did a terrible job at the weld it self
