I've been a BaconReader user since I joined reddit 11 years ago. To me, BaconReader IS reddit.
Thank you.

No updates? no bug fixes? Come on Devs. I paid $1.92 10 years ago for this app
In all seriousness I've probably used baconreader 3 to 4 hours a day in that time, my last 3 phones had burn in of the app when I upgraded. without a doubt one of the best value purchases I've ever made.

This has been the only reddit mobile app I've ever used. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
So long, and thanks for all the bacon π₯

Thanks for the work you put in. Will most likely stop using reddit after that.

Pressing "GOT IT :(" really hit different. Reddit without π₯, that will be grim. Again thanks for everything! https://imgur.com/zme2Nda.jpg

Thank you for everything. You did great work. I may hit Old Reddit on my laptop now and then but there will be no replacing BR on my phone.
I will never understand why the Reddit brain trust thinks it is brilliant to blow up their principal content distribution channels.

Long time user / first time commenter in this sub reddit. Thank you for your hard work on an AMAZING app. I don't know if I can get myself to stop using reddit b/c it soothes my procrastination. Any recommendation for an alternative?

Fuck. I don't even know HOW to reddit without BR and I don't even care to try. To me, BR is Reddit.

Baconreader has been my go-to app for Reddit ever since I discovered both.
Going to suck now. But maybe I'll be more productive.

Without a doubt my most used Android app across 8 years, over half a dozen phones, and tons of memories. Interested to see what you guys do next now that you no longer have a project to maintain.
Add your own database and just make bacon reader standalone π

Have only ever been a bacon reader user. Chances are my Reddit days end without it. Huge thanks from me

Nothing in my life is the same as when I started using BR nearly 11 years ago. It's been the most consistent and reliable thing in my life that entire time.
And now it's all over.
