Hostility, harassment and any form of shaming are not welcome!
I moderate quite a few subreddits which are comprised of mainly moms and I am dumbfounded at how mean women, especially MOMS can be towards other moms. It's scary.
You all should do better. I am saddened to see how many of you have no basic respect towards other people, let alone someone like you!
This subreddit was supposed to be fun , cozy, healing and with a hint of advice IF op wants it. Instead it turned into a shaming and insulting ground. Absolutely not anymore!
Any form of harassment will result in a permanent ban!

Hello there! New mod here.
I requested the subreddit as it was one of my favorite ones and it was abandoned quite a while ago.
I want to remind everyone here to read the rules and respect them and not be afraid to report comments or posts that are mean spirited, hostile, rude, bigoted etc.
Remember that this is a space where people post their baby rooms photos. You don't know if the setup is final, if OP is using it yet, if the baby is in the crib or bassinet, if they're rich, or poor, or religious, or an atheist or who knows what else.
So please don't start with accusations, criticisms or advice unless OP has selected the wanting/accepting advice.
I want this space positive and calm, like a baby room. ♥️

Small Nursery
Nursery is just about done, my husband just needs to mount the camera on the wall. It’s a small space and with two doors, two windows, and a baseboard heater, there is limited options on where to put the furniture! But I think it feels cozy and I’m happy with it :)

Show me your Woodland Nurseries!
As the title suggests, we are planning to do a woodland theme for our first daughter. I am hoping to do a green for the walls that looks nice with honey oak (recommendations are strongly welcomed!!!). We are having a little girl, so we have some green, light pink and neutral yellow blankets etc to incorporate. Looking for inspo! Thanks so much 8n advance!

I need/accept advice Which room for nursery?
I have 2 spare rooms and trying to decide which one to make our nursery for our first and most likely only baby girl. One is south facing with two large windows- it gets amazing light, is large, and has an ok closet. (Note- this is currently being used as my art studio). The second one has one small window, west facing, so it stays much darker. It’s a tad smaller, but it is connected to a full bathroom with a small walk in closet. I am thinking that the smaller, darker room may actually be better for a sleeping baby- and attached bathroom is a nice perk. But the brighter, bigger room is very calming and so beautiful… any thoughts?

Girl Nursery
I had a vision for months of making this just girly and floral. We got it painted (which was huge) First Light, got the essentials mainly from FB Marketplace, and was looking to further decorate. A couple of weeks before she arrived I realized, I had some girly things already that were just things that I liked and for the most part they all matched. We hung up the framed art, got a shelf with knobs on it used, and then hung up items that my husband and I both had as babies/children. We love it!

I need/accept advice Anyone just use a dresser as a changing table?
I really don't want to buy a piece of furniture that's going to become useless once we're done with diapers. I'm thinking of just getting a nice dresser, putting a changing pad on top and calling it a day. Then at least she can keep using the dresser as she gets older.
Did anyone do this and regret it? Anything I should look for in terms of height/storage? Also would love crib + dresser recommendations if you have a set you really love!

Just showing off (no advice accepted) It’s finally finished🥹
We tore out the walls and ceiling, put in new electrical, insulated, drywalled, painted, and did all trim work ourselves. My husband wanted me to have complete creative control and I accepted the assignment🫡. I included some pictures of the demo process.
I’m a little self-conscious posting on here because y’all have next-level Pinterest-worthy nurseries! But I’m proud and want to show my work.

Just showing off (no advice accepted) Already scheming up ideas for his next bedroom theme when we move
We live in Manhattan and I’ve never painted any rooms before because we rent! But it felt worth it this time around. He’s one now, I think I’m going to do a navy/tan/red theme for the next bedroom he has. But this is his baby room til we move in May 🥺

Just showing off (no advice accepted) Space Room
Moved our boy into his "big boy room" at 13 months. The space theme is a little abstract but I wanted to use the paint we already owned from painting moutains in the nursery. It's been a few months and it's gone well! He loves the bed and stays in it at night. We love it when he's sick or up extra early we can lay in his room with him.
A few reasons we made this transition from the nursery early. I didn't want to put in this work of painting, assembling, amd baby proofing everything while pregnant with the next baby. We wanted him used to his new room well before a sibling was in the picture. He is also overall a 96 percentile kid and was banging into the sides of the crib constantly.
Just a note for safety features. We bought a toddler safe, extra firm matress. The trundle underneath this frame is also a toddler safe matress. There are also puzzle mat tiles under the giant rug for a little extra cushion. He learned not to go over the railing or down the window bench the wrong way. We did have an extra matress down until he learned that. He uses the stairs every day. Outlets are all covered and he has a babyproof nightlight outlet cover as well. The bookshelf is anchored and his dresser is shut inside his closet. He cannot get out of his room. It has a knob lock for now and we will further babyproof the door as he gets more capable.

Just showing off (no advice accepted) Put so much love into this little room
We wanted to create a cute, comforting space for our son. As a FTM, it was one of the more exciting parts of pregnancy.

Regretting the rug…
Baby boy is already here, but I’m second guessing his rug. I wanted more of an animal theme but then kind of pivoted and then it was too late to return the rug. I just wanted a simple, green and browns boy room I a change around easily in the next couple of years. We recently moved into this home so I didn’t get to paint, that will come in the next few years too!
Twin bed in corner of room for us and grandparents when he eventually moves into his room!

Help arranging furniture
Hi everyone! We just started setting up the baby room and I’m desperately trying to find out how to place things. Everything I think of seems wrong.
Of note: I don’t really want to put anything over the floor register if I can help it. The small garbage can by the door will be gone (and the large bag of garbage, obviously). The night stand next to the crib will be gone. We are also getting a swivel chair in the future.
Any advice is really appreciated 🙏

What color dresser would work with this crib?
Heading to Ikea and hoping to see something that’ll work for our nursery as the dresser and changing table. We got our crib from a friend and it’s a light pine color with black bars. I just know that I don’t want a white dresser or something super light because we want to warm up the room. We live in military housing so can’t paint the walls but we might wallpaper the bottom half or one whole wall which would help. Leaning towards the HEMNES dark brown/black since it’s the perfect height but open to suggestions.
