RIP Mr. Bester

The man was a legend across the genre and I feel like I've lost an uncle...

I love Bester. Even as a lifelong Trek fan, Bester is without doubt Walter's best role.

Did you really need to eulogize him with an animated GIF that looks like he's jerkin' it?

Memorializing him and his sense of humor. He knew what he was doing when he filmed that scene

Wasn’t his quote on a convention flyer something like β€œcome see me before I die?”

Walter would probably tell you himself that he had more screen time, lines, and relevance as Bester than Chekov, as much as we loved him as Chekov. (Favorite Chekov bit: when he quite relatably gripes about being sampled to death by the medical staff in "The Deadly Years".)

It's a far brighter day when you can look at someone who has passed and laugh at their antics in life. Like OP said, it's a way of memorialising the man and his sense of humour.

The Corp is Father, The Corp is Mother...

...where did The Man from UNCLE come into play here? /jk

RIP Bester, now the feds know what I am referencing my hand gestures from.

It's actually πŸ˜… the other way around, mother comes first, then the father does, just as it should be in any heterosexual relationship. 😘

My children and his grandchild were in the same activity class a few years ago, so I had the pleasure of talking with him a couple of times. I resisted the urge to fan out on him, but he knew I knew who he was. After, he sent us an autographed Star Trek magazine, just to be cool. He was a very nice gentleman.

I'm extremely disappointed that the one time I got to meet him, he was having a bad experience at a Star Trek convention, and was on edge. It skewed my opinion of him for a while until I realized that everyone can have a bad day.

Just iconic. The expression of a man whose superpower actually isn't being telepathic, but having mastered the art of being an annoying asshole.

RIP. A true legend.

Be seeing you, Mr. Garibaldi...
