auxlang design comment What could be improved about Globasa?
I haven't seen any criticism for Globasa on here, though that could be because auxlangs and not very popular in general, while Globasa is also not a very popular auxlang, especially compared to Esperanto and Toki Pona. What are your thoughts on what could be improved? Or is there nothing? Is it genuinely the best IAL?
I would say that some consonant clusters are difficult for speakers of many East Asian languages to say, but if they weren't included that would hurt recognizability, I'd also complain about the fact that Globasa's statistics for Mandarin, the second most spoken language, is incredibly low. Granted, Mandarin loanwords aren't common globally, but they are commonly loaned in the Sinosphere. I see a lot of cases where for example, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese all agree on a word but Globasa just doesn't use it for some reason, instead opting for a word that's only common to 2 languages, a similar thing happens with the Indian subcontinent sphere of influence, where Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu all agree on a word but it just isn't used, even though all these languages listed have simpler phonotactics than most European languages, and would improve pronouncibility and internationality
Anyway, what are your thoughts? Is there something that another IAL does better than Globasa?
