Listening to this on Qobuz. Absolutely beautiful and well recorded

This is the best version of Homogenic there is. Dolby Atmos recovers and restores the Dynamic Range that was lost in the CD and streaming releases due the loudness war practices (heavy use of limiting and compression in the audio effects chain of the Mastering phase).

Notice how much more dynamic there is in the Atmos version. This can be experienced in Youtube since the audio was decoded and downmixed to stereo.

Many times Reggae has nothing to do with audio quality. This time it does.

So enable lossless and enjoy yourself!

Interested in hearing what you all think of this one. Personally, I love the whole album.

Good album but the track linked above plays at least once a week in my life since I've found it.

Hi everyone,

As an independent curator, I wanted to share a project I’ve been meticulously building for a while now. The playlist is called Mental Food, and it is specifically focused on cerebral electronica, dark IDM, deep textures, and cinematic soundscapes.

I’ve designed this selection not just for creative focus, but as a true test for high-end audio gear and headphones.

What you can expect sonically:

- Intricate Sound Design: Tracks layered with micro-details, analog synth grit, and evolving modular patches.

- Soundstage & Depth: Deep, non-linear sub-bass response and complex spatial panning that creates a very precise 3D audio image.

- Strict Editorial Line: 100% instrumental. No mainstream EDM, no repetitive commercial techno, and absolutely no AI-generated textures/artifacts (everything is hand-picked for its modern analog or digital warmth).

It features brilliant works from established pioneers and incredible emerging independent producers, including Oneohtrix Point Never, Boards of Canada, Rival Consoles, Floating Points, Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, and more.

If you are looking for dark, clever electronic music with a massive dynamic range to spin on your setup, you might enjoy this journey.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the tracklist selection and how it shines on your specific audio setups!

Had these on CD way back in the day and sort of forgot all about them. Just listened to these 2011 remasters on Amazon lossless and was very pleasantly surprised at (what I would call) the audiophile quality of these recordings. Be interested to know if others agree.

Is it crazy to say that I think this makes for a good audiophile grade track? Ironically, this song sounds better when played on lower grade equipment lmao. This is probably the best outsider house song I've heard, but that's not much to say, considering i have only listened to 3 outsider house Playlists, not much. Outsider house music as a genre is a genre that so many more people need to appreciate, not because of stuff like testing equipment obviously. God, i can't get enough of this song.

I post on here every so often with playlists that I’ve curated from incredible audio engineers that record jazz music. Here are some I’ve recently updated or created. Enjoy!

How come nobody has ever mentioned this song, WTF?!! This song is likely one of the best electronic songs I've ever heard, let alone it being a great audiophile stress test song.

P.S. Great music video lol

Drift off to peaceful slumber 😴
