#urgent i might need advice from someone whoβs been through something similar or knows a good specalist. never thought Iβd be asking this but do I just book a private mri or keep pushing//waiting for the requisition. (also recs for spine specialists or sports physiotherapists) wait times are really LONG my doctor said Iβll graduate before they give me an appointment but basically
I had a really bad incident this summer & I'm struggling with a spine fracture and other chronic flare ups, and I feel like I'm not being taken seriously by doctors because I look βfineβ which I do look normal? like idk do i need to be bleeding out for it to be urgent. my symptoms have changed the trajectory of my life rn. i had to stop working, cause I literally canβt do the work// i worked as an OTA and at a physio clinic and was training to teach Pilates, alongside my normal studies so movement is literally to both my career and everyday life. i barely manage walking for more than around 30 minutes a day. & numbness involving my spine and legs, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to manage my normal daily tasks and even sitting down is hard so I canβt really focus on studies/class. i try to manage with what i can so i donβt crash out.
another thing is that i normally get treatment abroad, but at the moment, I haven't been given medical clearance to fly. I'm in so much pain that I struggle to sit for the length of a flight, so travelling abroad for treatment isn't currently a realistic option.
& thanks for coming to my ted talk xo
