There was $10B pledged by the US. These were taxpayer funds. Other founding countries pledged $1B each, meaning about $18B was pledged overall.
We're told that only about $280M was ever handed over.
According to this article, the World Bank account established holds exactly zero dollars.
We know that millions that were actually raised were routed into a private J.P. Morgan Chase bank account controlled by the President, who is also the chairman of the Board of Peace.
There are no transparency requirements because the money sits in a private corporate account.
There is no legal obligation to report its financial position to outside groups.
The administration has filed budget requests for Fiscal 2027 that include roughly $1.25B from existing disaster relief assistance.

Inquiring minds want to know how anyone could vote for such a thoroughly corrupt man like Ken Paxton.

I was a hard core Christian for decades. Worked at a church. I felt my faith slipping and did everything I could think of to reverse it; went to Bible studies, lead bible studies, got baptized, got up at 4am every morning to study the Bible, prayed and prayed and prayed.
I was listening to a podcast one day where someone asked about losing their faith. The host said that God would restore his faith and show him that faith is a gift and not something he can manufacture. So that’s where I am now. I’m agnostic but open if God wants to restore my faith. I just don’t really believe that’s a thing anymore.
If you were a strong believer before what made you lose your faith?

Scott Jennings, the conservative voice on CNN, has been squirming in his seat a lot these days. Is he a good example of the typical GOP voter in 2026?

We're talking about $13B in oil revenues. After the U.S. military intervention in Venezuela and the capture of Maduro, the U.S. government took control of Venezuela's oil exports. We know about billions in oil revenue, but the exact whereabouts and handling of that money have become a controversy.
The US has a long history with untraceable "shush funds". There are parallels between the current Venezuelan oil mechanism and operations like Iran-Contra or the Cold War-era Latin American drug funds. Everything old is new again. In each of these cases, the U.S. executive branch established a "closed-loop" financial system that operated entirely outside the constitutional oversight of Congress.
Knowing your history feels really important right now. Time seems to be one dumb flat circle.

They claim “parental rights” are for the safety of children yet look at what happens when the religious “think” their kids are gay like 8 year old Gabriel Fernandez parents did, they gleefully TORTURED him for MONTHS and murdered him and the same Republicans/ Religious who not only push for this but go out of their way to harass these same kids in schools that already have it hard at home! But at least they give their fake “thoughts and prayers” after right? So evil!
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/prosecutor-mom-killed-son-4-because-she-thought-he-was-gay/
Here are some examples of the disgusting things Republicans/ Religious continue to support well knowing all this, while claiming to be holier than thou while discriminating against and foaming at the mouth over LGBT people existing to “protect women and children” while actually hurting them and all proud with a smile acting like they’re some kind of “patriots”.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/investigation-reveals-doj-withheld-epstein-files-mentioning-trump
https://www.theguardian.com/books/article/2024/jul/24/trump-nephew-book-disabled-son-die
Not a coincidence MAGA/ Republicans/ religious are hyper focused on children and their genitals.
https://abcnews.com/amp/US/man-barred-school-allegedly-accosting-9-year-claiming/story?id=100067135
And conveniently never mention it’s CHILDREN they are discriminating against and trying to dehumanize or not talk about all these anti trans legislation that affects mainly CHILDREN in schools! They want to normalize ADULTS like them groom and bully others children in our public education system and then blame it on their religion like they always do and then somehow when held accountable and come out of prison they “find god” the same god they believed in when they abused children. These ADULTS are real ballsy when targeting children!
But are no where to be found while they are being abused until after giving their fake “thoughts and prayers” acting like they couldn’t have helped and spoken up when seeing or hearing about the abuse. Instead they harass and target children!
https://www.wmur.com/article/anti-trans-althete-bow-parents-ask-to-expedite-lawsuit/74252744
That’s why their smugness and why they feel comfortable doing all this. Their ADULT church buddies will forgive them for something that didn’t happen to them but to a CHILD, even their own and go out of the way to harass the victim to forgive them and just “pray” it away while still allowing more CHILDREN to be abused and then acting all surprised or going out of their way to silence the victims!
Instead of involving the police, many of these churches cover up the abuse towards children and are even trying to legally fight to keep pedo confessing to abusing children private! So disgusting! These religious organizations don’t pay taxes yet heavily involved in our government and given a lot of freedom to abuse others over THEIR sky daddy they STILL can’t prove real yet we have to respect their delusions. Their cult causes more harm then good so why are we still allowing even our government officials aka our EMPLOYEES force this pedo criminal agenda on us!! They do not care about kids!
Look up all the legislation they are passing that negatively affects CHILDREN specifically, they even demonize giving kids free school lunches while they put their hundred bills in their church hat they pass around that ends up in these pedo religious leaders pockets. Look into the many people who needed help and have spoken up that were refused help at these religious “shelters” because they wouldn’t join their cult and most are empty yet still receiving hand outs including from our government aka our money that should be going to actual social services that help ALL! Same with adoption centers, most are religious and only allow religious people to adopt them yet claim no one but religious people adopt kids. Why do we as a society keep allowing this smugness and normalization of Republican/Religious ADULTS harassing and abusing CHILDREN and not only that, letting them cover up CHILD abuse while they claim to “care about children”.

FYI: I suffer with anxiety in general. I've gotten way better at controlling it
I just got a tiger tattoo, wanted it for a while, love it. I now remember that US deported a couple people and took them to El Salvador jail just cause they assumed you had a gang-related tattoo. I feel i did the right thing, but i have a health issue which i might need to get operated and have to fly to the states cause one the top docs is in the states. I'm worried they'll throw me in El Salvador jail lol. I'm just being paranoid right? i'm sorry if this question sounds dumb. Roast me if i 'm thinking like a fool

In places like Florida, California, and parts of the Midwest, home and auto insurance premiums have spiked by thousands of dollars a year, pushing mortgage payments completely out of reach. Even people who paid off their houses are struggling to pay property taxes and insurance. Are we heading toward a quiet foreclosure crisis that nobody is talking about?

Why did American serial killers seek more media attention than those in other countries?

They see a homeless person and are like “get a job loser”
They see someone with a minimum wage job and are like “get a real job loser”
So they work hard and climb the corporate ladder and the rich people are like “why do we pay that guy so much, can’t we get by without him?”
Are they really only impressed by business owners and people born wealthy?
