NOVEMBER 2018 - SOUTH ZAGORIA, CHERNARUS
In November 2018, a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Chernarus Air Force’s 7th Independent Helicopter Squadron was conducting a reconnaissance mission over the contaminated region of South Zagoria.
While flying near Zelenogorsk, the aircraft came under small-arms fire and was struck by a rocket, destroying its tail rotor and causing it to crash.
The only survivor was Senior Lieutenant Andriy Kovalyyev, the helicopter’s co-pilot.
According to his testimony, moments before the attack, he briefly noticed an individual on the ground wearing what appeared to be a bright yellow, full-face motorcycle helmet. However, he was unable to confirm whether this individual was responsible for the attack.
After regaining consciousness, Kovalyyev discovered that the helicopter had been looted.
With no means of contacting friendly forces, he eventually reached the abandoned Green Mountain military facility.
While searching the installation, he discovered a damaged video camera that appeared to have been attached to a military helmet.
The camera contained recordings dating back to March 12, 2013, during the early stages of the outbreak.
The footage is believed to have been recorded by a member of the Chernarussian National Guard, deployed to Green Mountain to assist in gathering civilians, maintaining order, and conducting medical screenings to identify potential carriers of the virus.
The identity and fate of the soldier remain unknown.
Senior Lieutenant Kovalyyev was subsequently evacuated by an American military rescue team operating in cooperation with the remaining Chernarussian authorities.
The recovered camera and its recordings were transferred to the Chernarussian Security Intelligence Service for examination.
The following footage has since been declassified.

I've done some testing with and without mods, and AI-controlled AA vehicles seem absolutely terrible at engaging aircraft.
I put a jet on loiter about 6 km away from a tigris and watched what happened. The AA just sat there doing absolutely nothing. After waiting around 6 minutes, it finally decided to engage. Sometimes it takes 2 minutes, sometimes 5 or 6. Tried with different skill levels aswell..
Tried with CUP tunguska, same story, why AA does this? any fixes with some mods maybe?

I've played this game 6 years ago, and it was my first Arma game ever played of the series, now on my first play through I just so happened to trigger the alternative path (Mission: A Strange Meeting) which is not canon to the story, now I realized there was a canon path that was the way it originally was meant to be, and so here we are. I did it.
I did A Strange Meeting 6 years ago and had a ton of trouble doing it & it took me multiple days to do it, since I was a lot younger and more inexperienced at the time. Well, if I think if I were to play After Montignac 6 years ago, I think I would've dropped Arma series forever.
Mind you, I did it without killing anyone and without being spotted a single time.
I know that the CUP mod remakes the vehicles in Arma 2, but I was wondering if there is a difference in realism between the mod and Arma 2's base game.

I was playing Arma 3 and having a lot of fun just killing bots in CQB missions randomizing my gear on every death was great but I always want to play a full campaign to get a bit more structure, but most of the popular ones feel terrible to play solo. I've tried Antistasi, Forgotten Few 2, KP Liberation, Vindicta, and Civil War. I hate how they expect you to play with a group. Even if they technically support singleplayer, everything is designed for multiplayer. I don't have anyone to play with, and while I could look for a unit, I really don't want to. I feel uncomfortable talking to strangers, and Arma units are a bit intimidating.
Anyway i've been playing ArmA for a while so this is just how it is, i decided to try a super popular singleplayer only campaign called Pilgrimage. THAT was dogshit not just the worst campaign I’ve played in Arma, but one of the worst I’ve played in any game.
It starts off as an actual pilgrimage where you get a gun, so I thought, "Okay, I'll probably fight a few guys, but this won't be pure action." I enjoyed the first 20 minutes just walking down a road on Altis, taking in the atmosphere. But then I got randomly shot in the head out of nowhere and died. After respawning and walking all over again, I found an enemy camp. They had better weapons, so I spent a couple of minutes getting closer and when i started shooting these guys felt like bullet sponges while one shotting me. I managed to kill them, looted their gear, and went into the camp only to find absolutely nothing. Okay
Eventually, I found out you can fast-travel by paying in-game money, but it was too expensive to rely on. Then I found a weapon shop and wondered, "Why buy anything if I already have a gun?" Turns out, every enemy has massive armor and tons of health. If you don't hit a headshot, don't even bother shooting you'll just waste ammo. The scenario adds side objectives like finding "intel" which is just a phone with a random picture, rescuing your brother's soldiers,, or destroying a weapon that has something to do with your father but you have to get super lucky to find the exact item needed for destroying it.
The mode highlights the worst parts of Arma. Traveling is tedious if your only objective is go to a place and see if it gets marked with a red or green X and the combat throws military forces at you in a way that feels completely forced. Everything feels cryptic and at the end i was just doing a speedrun of the mode i wasn't even fighting anymore not because the mode encourages stealth, but because you're forced to check every single church just to find a body. Given how it works, I wouldn't be surprised if the body doesn't even spawn until you've checked a specific number of churches.
Sorry for the rant. I just wish there was a singleplayer campaign with rewarding progression instead of just do a task, get money, and find an exploit to buy the best gear.
Also i played all the thing even if it was a chore just because a guy took the time to made it and i respect that, this whole thing doesn't mean i don't like ArmA quite the opposite, i don't know why but i keep sinking hours into it

hello, I'm working on a custom voice speaker mod, I'm not sure which folder the "move" command should go in or what they're supposed to be called for it work.
I'm also trying to find the correct command names or voice line entries and what foldier should go for “Left,” “Right,” and “Behind us.”
Could someone point me in the right direction or explain how these are set up in the voice protocol files, i am already done with most of the voice lines, those are the one left
Thanks in advance!

Played again after some time. Now everything feels weird. I can’t go to normal 3rd person view anymore. Also not in vehicles. Anyone any idea how I get back to normal settings?
