SUPPORT Issues with game performance? (AMD)

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this recently. After running a system upgrade the other day, my games all run atrociously. I'm using a 9070xt and 9850X3D and was getting sub 30fps on all games. Tried clearing shader caches, checked power profiles, etc, couldn't figure out a solution. Thankfully rolling back to earlier versions of mesa and vulkan solved the issue for now, but obviously I'll have to upgrade eventually. Is there any kind of known bug with recent updates on AMD cards?

This is coming from a cachy install, so I don’t know if it will be applicable for you. But the timeline and gpu are the same for me. I had to go into display configuration options for all monitors and change a setting to prefer color accuracy over prefer efficiency. I cannot explain much more than that, I’m learning Linux still so what I’m trying to understand about the situation likely won’t add value, only that this was the workaround for me with dropped performance/ stuttering.

Assuming your DE is KDE plasma.

Kde strikes again. Change your colour accuracy setting.
