Job Loss šļø ???
I think this comment speaks for itself, I havenāt got much to add apart from just being disappointed. Also the fact that at least 31 people agreed with this is concerning..

Bro really thinks AI will pay the rent with good vibes , the 31 people agreeing is the scariest part.

Bots pushing a clueless narrative to influence teens not to rebel against ai.

People are this dumb. Those people do not deserve access to the internet.

u/AnimalDry4663 14h ago
i donāt think anyone doesnt deserve access to the internet, however i do think some people should be taught concepts alternate to boot licking the rich

u/BrittDonaghy 13h ago
Thank you. This authoritarian "people don't deserve" language really needs to end. You have my respect.

2
u/AnimalDry4663 14h ago

Btw, u/concernedpatriot47 is a bot, itās typed out about 10 replies in the span of a minute, i would recommend not arguing with them if you donāt want to waste your time!

u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago
Not a bot, just taking a shit. A bot isnāt going to waste its time in here.

u/Moment0fClarity 13h ago
I saw a thread the other day from someone who said they can't understand how people "back in the day" wrote 10 page papers without the help of AI.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't a one off. A lot of the younger people are probably very dependent on it when it comes to things previous generations didn't think too much of & no, it is not a good sign.

u/AnimalDry4663 13h ago
its very sad, however i suppose they will learn the hard way when they get rejected from exam boards for using ai and struggle to find a job. Wish it wouldnāt happen, but people wonāt budge on comforts

u/Link-Hero 13h ago
The fucking delusions from these AI bros. The billionaires don't want us to live a utopia or anything like that. The rich themselves will be the ones to never work again and make the peasants (the 99%) wage slaves working for pennies. Just the god damn naivety of them.
1
u/SufficientFilmTool 13h ago
No job and just vibes only work if someone else pay the rent, Landlords don't accept good energy as payment Wild that 30 people read that and agreed.
1
u/realborislegasov 12h ago
Just for the record, if there is the possibility of a future where AI companies voluntarily accept massive taxation, funding generous UBI for everyone, and it does indeed enable everybody to not work, then that would be the best possible outcome at this stage.
It won't happen. Because that is socialism, and they don't want that. They want maximum oligarchy.

Heās right though, AI will bring the age of abundance.
17
u/DesignerOk6581 14h ago
For the existing wealthy.

u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago edited 14h ago
AI is the tool that is letting everybody decompile and rebuild their own independent softwares that donāt pay the rich, seems quite the opposite.

u/Quiet-Fishing-1416 14h ago
Until the rich starts charging exorbitant money for it as we get dependent on it

u/love2killjoy410 14h ago
They're already bitching and moaning about that though. They're guaranteed already trying to pay law makers to have this made illegal. They're going to bleed us of every resource they can, until there's nothing left. Then they'll drop regular people like old used toys and leave us with nothing.
2
u/DesignerOk6581 14h ago
Bingo.
Open source LLMs will never be able to compete with these models, and if they ever can, they will be crushed. Graphics card prices are already shooting through the roof because of AI.
What happens when the graphics card fails?
Up shit creek without a paddle.
I don't care if open source image generation looks just as good. That isn't what's going to be used to destroy us. Corporate AI is becoming insanely powerful and capable and vastly outperforming open source models like what people use for RP.

u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago
They can bitch and moan all they want, thereās nothing they can do about open source.

u/Darth_Murcielago 14h ago
abundance for the rich and joblessness and therefore starvation for the poor. Anyways nice try bot account
-7
u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago
The rich are rich because people buy their products. If everybody were jobless, then they wouldnāt be rich. Their money just doesnāt spawn out of mid air.
Reddit plays too many video games so they think ārich peopleā is some type of starter class.

u/Darth_Murcielago 14h ago
Mods!!! ban this freshly created bot. (also that's not true at all... most rich people are rich because they're born rich. buying their products (if they have any) are just a way to enrich them even more)

There are companies that exist entirely because of govt contracts. The free market is a myth.
1
u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago
Yeah, some companies receive subsidies. Iām not sure what your point is?
6
u/AnimalDry4663 14h ago
not for people without a job? do you think the owners of ai tech would prioritise people without a job over themselves and their connections? No. Getting by without a job will never be viable, especially in an ai-ridden society

u/ConcernedPatriot47 14h ago
Labor doesnāt matter in the world of abundance. The owners of AI tech have no control, AI is now open source.
4
u/DesignerOk6581 14h ago
Do you have any idea how expensive it is to do open source AI that can even come close to competing with AI like OpenAI and Google models?
And before you say "just use it on the cloud," fat chance of that if regulations shut it down.
Individual people are allowed to play with AI while the elites go crazy with it and then they're going to use it to further crush us.

I run my local models on my $900 Mac Mini just fine, havenāt used a frontier model in years other than testing.

This is just naive. The rich don't care about kids' well-being
