[Web, Android/iOS, Beta] Phone Checker: open it on your phone and it says if the phone is really the model it claims

• Upvotes

I'm looking for people with Android phones and iPhones from anywhere outside Africa to try this and tell me if it gets their phone right.

What it is: Phone Checker, a free web page that tells a fake phone from a real one. In Zambia, where I live, copies of phones are sold as the real thing: Settings, the box and "About phone" all say Galaxy A14, but the hardware inside is a cheap clone. You open the page on the phone, tap Check, and in about 20 seconds it reads what the browser can see (the model code, the graphics chip, RAM, screen resolution and refresh rate, Widevine level) and compares it with a real one of that model. No app, no account.

Stage: beta. It knows 1,337 models, but most real-world checks so far are Tecno, Infinix, itel and Samsung phones sold in Zambia. I need checks from Pixels, OnePlus, Motorola, Nothing, Sony, Xiaomi and iPhones bought elsewhere.

What I'd love to hear:

  • Did it name your phone correctly? (Settings > About phone has the real model)
  • Did it say "Original" or "Couldn't confirm"? If "Couldn't confirm", which check was different?
  • Anything confusing on the result page

Link: https://ogphonechecker.com

Every result has a "Something wrong?" link too, which comes straight to me. I'll test other products posted here in return.

[Looking for Beta Testers] I built my first app to make family meal planning and food shopping easier — would love honest feedback!

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I’ve spent the last few months building my very first app, BasketBoss, and I’m finally at the stage where I’d love to get some real people testing it.
I’m not an experienced app developer or a big company. Just someone who had an idea, became slightly obsessed with making it work, and has spent far too many late nights fixing bugs! 😂

What is BasketBoss?
It’s a web app designed to make everyday family meals, shopping and managing food a little less stressful.
Here’s what I’ve built so far:
● 🍽️ 100 free recipes to help with meal inspiration
● 📅 Weekly meal planning to organise dinners
● 🛒 Shopping lists to help keep track of groceries
● 🥕 Kitchen inventory to organise ingredients you’ve already got
● 📸 AI ingredient scanning to recognise food from photos (Premium feature)
● 👑 321 recipes with Premium, plus additional tools
My goal is simple: help households plan smarter, eat better and waste less food.
BasketBoss
What I’m looking for
I’d genuinely appreciate people giving it a try and telling me:

  1. Is it easy to understand and navigate?
  2. Are there any bugs, confusing buttons or frustrating features?
  3. Would you actually use something like this regularly?
  4. What’s missing that would make it genuinely useful?
The basic app is free to use, so you don’t need a paid subscription to explore and give feedback.
    Try it here:
    https://basketboss.co.uk
Please don’t hold back with constructive criticism. I’d much rather hear what’s wrong now than launch something people struggle to use.
This is my first build, and seeing it finally come together has been stressful, exciting and incredibly rewarding.
Thanks to anyone willing to give it a go. Even five minutes of honest feedback would mean a lot! 🙌

[iOS, Beta] demos - vocal recorder for musicians on the go

• Upvotes

im a musician and write songs in the most random moments. i always end up switching between voice memos, files app for the instrumental and my notes. Even when in front of ableton, setting up a project takes way too long and by then the idea is often gone.

so i built Demos, a little iphone app for recording song ideas. load a beat, loop a section, record takes, punch in, add a bit of comp/eq/reverb/delay and export wavs, mp3s or stems.

i know there are already tools like this out there, this isnt meant to compete with anything, it just started as a personal tool and figured some of u might find it useful too. first public build, so expect bugs :)

free on testflight, no account, no tracking.

https://testflight.apple.com/join/WKY56mwk

would love feedback on what feels weird, what breaks or what u wish it could do. lmk what u think!

Looking for beta testers: LazySiren, a browser OS run by its AI (free)

• Upvotes

I built LazySiren solo: a full operating system that runs in your browser — desktop, windows, files, a real Debian terminal — and its AI, Siren, operates the whole thing. She can use every app, manage your files, and forge new apps on demand that appear right on your desktop.

Try it in 2 minutes (no install): open https://lazysiren.com/landing , boot the OS, and ask Siren to build you any small app you can think of — a tracker, a planner, a tiny game. Then tell her what to change; she edits it on the spot.

It's free during the beta, works on Android too (same account), no API key needed.

What I want feedback on: does the concept click in the first 2 minutes? What was confusing? What did you ask her to build?

Roasting welcome — I'd rather hear it now. Thanks!

[Android] Looking for a few fresh eyes on Re:Save, a simple offline budget tracker

• Upvotes

Hi! I'm building Re:Save, an Android expense tracker where you put money into categories and choose which category to spend from. It's a small app with one main overview, and I'm looking for people to help me figure out whether it feels clear in everyday use.

The closed test is live on Google Play. I'd love around 20 volunteers who can stay enrolled for 14 days, try a few things during that time, and tell me what feels awkward or doesn't work.

The main tracking features work offline. You don't need to connect a bank or sign in with Google, and you're welcome to use made-up numbers. Android 8.0 or newer is needed.

A few things I'd like fresh eyes on:

- Can you create categories and set money aside without instructions?

- Is it clear where an expense comes from?

- Do transfers and the transaction history make sense?

If that sounds like something you'd try, comment here and privately send me the Google account email you use for Google Play. The test currently uses an email list, so I'll add you first and confirm when you can join. Please keep your email out of public comments.

Test opt-in (after you're added):

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.resauce.resave

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.resauce.resave

No need for a polished review. A quick 'this button confused me' or a bug report would be really useful. Thanks for taking a look!

[Windows / Android] Looking for first-time testers for War-Dogs, an incremental defense demo

I'm Brian, developing War-Dogs with TWB Games. I'm looking for unpaid first-time testers who can try a short session and explain where the experience becomes unclear.

The game has automatic squad attacks, aimed special abilities, and permanent upgrades between attempts. The free demo contains two maps and fourteen stages; I'm only asking for initial impressions, not a full completion.

Download page with separate Windows and Android options:

https://the-world-beneath.itch.io/war-dogs

The most useful feedback would be:

  1. Was choosing the correct download and getting started clear?

  2. Did you understand what survives a failed deployment?

  3. Were recruiting, buying upgrades and using specials understandable?

  4. Did anything break when saving, closing and returning?

Please reply here with your platform and build number. A few sentences about the first point of confusion would help.

AI disclosure: Generative AI is used extensively across code, graphics, writing and audio. I handle creative direction, design decisions, editing and hands-on testing. AI assisted with drafting this request.

hubspot for startups pricing when your user list is mostly unpaying beta testers

we are running our second closed test group right now and trying to stop managing onboarding emails and bug logs across spreadsheets and webhooks. our lead mentor gave us an intake link for the partner discount, but looking into hubspot for startups pricing, the contact tier limits make me nervous.

right now we only have around 35 ppl in the app and maybe 150 on an early waitlist. paying extra every month just to hold email records for free beta testers who might never convert feels like burning runway before we even launch paid plans. trying to see how other founders handled early user lists without triggering plan bumps while still fixing bugs.

[Windows, Beta] Weorclip: free local video editor with automatic subtitles — looking for testers

Hi everyone, I'm the solo developer of Weorclip, a free video downloader and editing app for Windows 10/11. It is in beta, and I'm looking for people willing to try one small editing task and tell me where they get stuck.

You can trim a video, generate subtitles, remove silences and reframe it for vertical clips. Editing and exporting run on your own computer. There is no account requirement or watermark, and an English interface is available.

What I'd especially like feedback on:

- Does setup complete successfully?

- Can you import your own clip, add subtitles and export it?

- Which step is confusing, slow or buggy?

Website, feature overview and download: https://weorclip.com/en/

I'm the developer, so this is a request for honest beta feedback. No positive review or purchase is requested. If you prefer to look through the site before installing an unfamiliar Windows app, that's completely understandable. Questions and critical feedback are welcome here.

[Beta] Agenlate: AI agents that work together under a supervisor, set up in plain words. Looking for testers

Hey everyone! I'm the founder of Agenlate (https://agenlate.com/). For the last 8 weeks we've been building it, and it's now in BETA.

The idea: instead of one chatbot, you set up a small team of AI agents in plain words (a researcher, a writer, a checker) and a supervisor coordinates them toward one goal. No code.

What it does today: the agents search the web, read pages and write the result, and you see every step and what each run costs. The video shows an example where a researcher and a writer turn quick research into a launch announcement for a coffee shop.

For now, in the beta, you bring your own OpenRouter API key, so you can use any of the language models listed in the platform.

Today it's research and writing, but the goal is for these same teams to coordinate on more complex tasks.

What I'd love: try it on a real task of your own (a topic to research, a draft to check) and tell me what worked, what confused you and what you'd want it to do next.

It's invite-only for now. Comment or DM me and I'll send you a beta code. If you have questions before you start, or while you're using it, ask me and I'll gladly guide you.

[Web] Looking for manga readers to test a site where you rate chapters instead of whole series

I like rating anime episodes on IMDb as they come out, and I couldn't find anything that does that for manga, so I made it. It's called MangaRate. You rate individual chapters, add series to a read list, and each series gets a graph so you can see which chapters were the high points.

It's just me working on it and it's brand new, so I need people who actually read manga to use it and tell me what's broken or confusing. If you follow a long series like One Piece, that's a good one to try since there are a lot of chapters to graph.

If you have five minutes: open a series you've read, rate a few chapters, then look at the graph. I'd like to know if rating feels quick, if anything confused you, and what would make you want to keep using it.

There's a report issue button on the manga pages if something looks off.

Tasket++ : Simulate your Windows actions automatically (free & open source)

Tasket++ lets you define your own clicks, keystrokes, cursor positions and system operations, then replay them exactly when you want. It’s a simple Windows tool that handles repetitive workflows for you: auto‑send messages, paste text anywhere, take silent screenshots, launch or close apps, adjust volume or run your end‑of‑day shutdown sequence.

Everything runs locally, with no telemetry, no cloud, and no complexity.

What it can do:
- Replay user‑defined cursor positions and keystrokes
- Paste predefined text anywhere
- Perform system actions: open files/programs, change volume, take silent screenshots, shut down, files/folders operations
- Schedule tasks at a specific time, at startup, or run via desktop shortcut
- Run tasks once, in loops, or indefinitely
- Discreet mode: runs quietly from the tray
- Use command line to autorun a task : Tasket++.exe "TaskName" <delayInSeconds (>0)> <NumberOfLoop (-1 for infinite)>
- Easily share tasks between different PC : export/import task files and program data, use feature to rescale cursor positions

Local, portable, free, open source. Privacy intact.

Fully fonctionnal, available now !
Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp9cjlhwvxs49p
Portable (v2.5): https://files.amirhammoutene.dev/Tasket++/2.5/Tasket++_v2.5.zip
Source: https://github.com/AmirHammouteneEI/ScheduledPasteAndKeys

For feedback, help, suggestions, or other inquiries : [contact@amirhammoutene.dev](mailto:contact@amirhammoutene.dev)

Nothing is vibe coded, I never used AI (except for the choice of UI colors suggested by Copilot).
Conception is genuine, I didn't know about similar tools when I began developing it.

I'm looking for testers or quick feedback (beyond its visual aspect), please give a try and comment here :)

Walkthrough: how I turn a client contract into a counter-offer in a few minutes (free tool, no login to try)

Here's the exact flow I built, step by step.

  1. Upload the contract. PDF, Word, plain text, or paste it in.
  2. ALYRO analyses it and flags clauses that carry risk, tied to the specific clause so you can find it fast.
  3. Review the flags. You decide which ones matter for your situation.
  4. Generate a counter-negotiation draft addressing those clauses.
  5. Send it back to the client before you sign.

There's also a comparison feature. Upload the client's version next to your own template and see where they differ.

What it won't do: replace a lawyer on a six-figure deal. It's for the everyday freelance and consulting contracts where hiring one isn't realistic.

It's still early. 101 visits in the last 30 days, and I'm after feedback from people who actually sign these things.

If you try it, tell me where it felt slow or unclear. What would make you trust the flagged clauses enough to act on them?

[macOS, Beta] Looking for people with a folder of Markdown notes (or an Obsidian vault) to test Header, a local-first Mac notes app

Hi, I'm bulding Header - a native Mac app for notes, meeting minutes and research that works directly on a folder of plain Markdown files. There's no database and no sign-up. If you delete Header tomorrow, your notes are still ordinary .md files.

Who I'm looking for

  • You already keep notes in Markdown: an Obsidian vault, a Dropbox or iCloud folder, anything. Header opens it as it is and doesn't rewrite your files.
  • You take meeting notes and would record one short call. Transcription runs on your Mac.
  • You write with sources (papers, DOIs, PDFs) and want citations in your notes.

What I'd love to hear

  1. Did your existing folder open and index cleanly? Roughly how many notes, and how long did it take?
  2. Did anything render wrong: tables, math, Mermaid, links, frontmatter?
  3. Where did you get lost in the first 10 minutes?
  4. What made you close it?

The details

  • macOS 14.4 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Notarized download or TestFlight.
  • Free during the beta.
  • AI is optional and off by default. Bring your own key, use Ollama, or Apple Intelligence on supported Macs.
  • It's a beta, so please try it on a copy of your notes first.

Download: Website

You can report problems from Help > Report Issue in the app, or just reply here. I'll answer every comment, and if you drop your own project below I'm happy to test it back.

[Web, Beta] Diff Pick: a 1-minute quiz that picks an AI tool for you and tells you the catch

I kept getting asked "which AI tool should I use?" and my honest answer was always "it depends, and here's what the sales page doesn't tell you." So I made that into a quiz.

How it works: 5 quick questions (what you're trying to do, budget, whether you code, how you feel about your data, any must-haves). Then you get 1 to 3 picks. Each pick says why it fits you and has a "what they left out" line, like usage limits, credits that run out fast, or a free plan that goes to sleep.

- Works in the browser, no signup, no cookies, nothing to download

- 16 tools right now (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Lovable, Notion, Zapier, n8n and others)

- Picks come from fixed rules, not an AI guessing

- One pick (Fireflies.ai) is a referral link and it's marked with a *. Most picks earn me nothing.

Try it here: https://diff-pick-production.up.railway.app

It takes about a minute. What I'd love to hear:

  1. Did your picks make sense for what you actually do?

  2. Is any "what they left out" line unfair or out of date?

  3. Which tool is missing?

There's also a small free newsletter linked at the end (The Diff), which does the same thing for new AI launches. Totally optional, the quiz works without it.

Happy to test your project back if you leave a link.

Looking for honest feedback on my iOS app, LEVELUP

Could a few people help me improve my app? (iOS TestFlight)

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a small project called LEVELUP, an app for building habits, keeping track of daily tasks, and working towards personal goals.

I’ve reached the point where I’d really appreciate some outside perspective. I know I’m a bit too close to the project now, so it would be helpful to hear from people who are trying it for the first time.

If you have a little time, I’d love for you to give it a try and tell me honestly:

  • What feels intuitive, and what feels confusing?
  • Which features are actually useful to you?
  • What feels unnecessary or is missing?
  • Did anything break or behave unexpectedly?

There’s also an AI coach in the app that I’m particularly interested in getting feedback on.

This is an early version, and I’m not expecting anyone to sugarcoat anything. Critical feedback is just as valuable as positive feedback — probably more so!

If you’re interested in trying it on iPhone, here’s the TestFlight link:
https://testflight.apple.com/join/fYTsQWHf

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Even a few honest thoughts would help me a lot.

[iOS] Looking for people with big, messy camera rolls to test Echo, a one-photo-a-day memory app

What it does: Each morning Echo picks one photo from your own library, usually from months or years ago. You keep it or swipe for another, and you can add a line or a short voice note. Kept photos build a private Wall, a map of places, a page-turning book and a short film of your year.

Who I'm looking for: - Anyone with thousands of photos they never look at - People who use iPhone in a language other than English. It's in 38 languages, and I especially want feedback on Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Turkish. - People with lots of screenshots, memes or AI images in their library. Echo should skip all of those, and I want to know if any slip through.

What I'd love feedback on: 1. Did the first photo it showed you feel worth seeing? 2. Was anything in onboarding confusing or slow? 3. Did the free limit (4 memories a day) feel fair? 4. In your language, does anything read like a machine translation?

Privacy: There's no account, and your photos are never uploaded to us. They stay on your device and your own iCloud.

It's free on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6775021634

Reply here with anything you find, good or bad.
