Finance & Investments How could i survive with 2,900 pesos in a month.
Problem/Goal: Advice kung paano pagkasyahin yung 2,900 sa food at pamasahe.
Hi po! I just wanted to ask for
advice from people who have experienced living independently, especially those who started working while trying to save up for college.
Basically, I was supposed to study here in Manila sa isang state university , pero I was forced to take a gap year because of our family's financial situation. May emergency po kasi sa family, kaya pinapauwi na nila ako sa province, and I completely understand naman kung bakit. However, I'm starting to like my life here in Manila, and I genuinely want to try living independently. I want to experience growing on my own, learning how to manage my finances, and becoming more responsible.
I can still choose to study at a different university next school year sa probinsya but wala yung course na gusto ko and obviously, mas mahirap mag work if I attempt in a provate uni and tbf, yung man reason is gusto ko sanang sumugal at subukang mag-stay dito. I'm currently applying to different BPO companies, hoping to find a job that would allow me to support myself and eventually return to school next semester or next school year as a working student.
Ang concern ko po is that I don't have much financial room to work with right now. I only have around ₱2,900 for food and pamasahe, so I'm trying to figure out how to make that amount last. How do you budget for food and transportation without running out of money before the next payday?
Thankfully, malapit lang din ako sa isang LRT station na walking distance lang, so at least I have the option to walk to and from the station and save on transportation costs. I'm hoping that this will help make my daily expenses a little more manageable.
I know that wanting to stay in Manila isn't enough, and I need to be realistic about my situation. I'm not expecting to live comfortably right away; I'm willing to live simply and make sacrifices. I just want to know if there's a practical way to make this work without putting myself in an even worse financial position.
Sa mga naka-experience na po ng ganitong situation or anyone who has some words here. I'd really appreciate your advice.
Thank you so much po! Any practical advice or personal experiences would mean a lot to me.
