Before I became a machinist I was a line cook. 9 years of that. No real upsides in the long run of that career. Anyways. There was one specific mother's day where my other line cooks all called off, and it was just me against a bob evans in a truck stop town. I locked in. It was nearly an out of body experience. I remember nothing, and everything about it. I'm pretty sure it was nearly silent for about 5 hours back there, me chugging away at an endless wave of electronic tickets. I believe I had a 9 minute ticket time average across my shift. I do not recall complaints.
That day was my limit, for sure. I left restaurant work shortly after. But I take pride in that day.
I could never do that again.

I am starting to think I may have at least some level of ADHD. I know I have bipolar since it’s diagnosed.
I will start doing something and get invested to the point nothing else matters. After a few hours or days I stop doing it, and it doesn’t even interest me ever again.

Either #4 or 5, give or take: can only do survival basics and coffee because, yet again, somebody didn't sleep and the Adderall doesn't touch it.
For so many reasons, one of which is circadian rhythms don't always align. The fuckers.
And hey, fun fact I just learned! Starting a sentence with the # symbol heavy bolds the whole thing. And I just got jump scared by the big heavy text lol.

Oooh, I call the flow state my “place”. I go to my place in my mind. I work later than others so I can put on my headphones, crank it up and then I can get a whole day of work done in an hour without being interrupted. They don’t know that if the conditions are right, and I have M&M’s, and nobody distracts me, I could rewire this company.
