Y'all I recently finished my fanfic and I had another idea for a fanfic that seems overly crazy and is inspired by the apocalypse movies I have been watching and it is taken place in modern time and there's an apocalypse let me know if it sounds like a good zutara fanfic idea

I know lots of stories have very similar plots and it ends up being more of a "two cakes" situation than a rip off but there is something in my brain that is screaming my idea is Not Original.

Was there once or is now a popular fic where Katara is taken as a child to ultimately be used to produce the next Avatar with Zuko?

I have been searching everywhere and looked through my bookmarks and I cannot find it but I 100% think it already exists and I want to see if my idea is different enough to not be stealing.

Choosing to help Aang and Katara in the catacombs of Ba Sing Se was the right thing to do, but it cost him everything. Betrayed and captured by his sister Azula, Zuko and his Uncle Iroh were delivered into the hands of the Fire Nation. The prince's punishment was brutal: a life sentence in the solitary confinement of the Boiling Rock. There, consumed by darkness and sustained by little more than scraps, Zuko waited for the end while the world burned in the apocalypse.

But the universe—or perhaps something else—had a second chance in store for him.

Hi, guys, I just wanted to say thank you to this beautiful fandom. The beautiful works, since the fanarts to the fanfictions.

My country, Brasil, is facing the most intense presidential election in its history today, this Sunday. Our current presidente is up against a far-right candidate —a criminal whose governing platform is based on budget cuts to education and other public policies, and whose own father attempted a coup d'état in 2023, which failed due to a lack of support from the military.

My country’s democracy is at risk, as is the sovereignty of all of Latin America, given that the U.S. has its sights set on the rare earth minerals we posses. Our public education is at risk, the lgbt+ and indigenous rights are at risk, and all of this is happening with the support of the evangelical churchs.

Half of the country tried to change the results, but I don’t know if our resistance will be enough, but I just wanted to express my gratitude for the moments of peace and joy that ATLA has given me, and, in particular, for the Zutara fandom.

I am a lgbt+ woman and I've never been as scared as right now. I might publish the fanfic I’m currently writing soon; thinking about our actual reality has simply become too painful.

I never imagined that something as seemingly distant and fictional as fascism could grow so much, right before my eyes, in the country I love. But in the real world, there is no savior coming to restore balance; the only ones who can save the people are the people themselves.

I just posted chapter three of my fic and it got me thinking, it is from Suki's pov. Do you prefer the fics to be from Zuko or Katara's point of view? For instance my fic does include Sukka and Taang as other relationships, it is supposed to be about the entire gaang (and Azula). I can write the story beats to be from Zuko or Katara's point of views exclusively but I want your opinions.

The story-beat makes most sense from Suki's POV but I wanted to know if that was a good idea or if you would prefer just Zuko and Katara as the POV characters.

Zuko and Draco are best friends… And so are their fathers.
Both of whom loyally serve the Dark Lord as his Grand Banneret, with the full expectation of their son's to follow in their footsteps.
Something neither Slytherin wants, but accepts nonetheless, knowing they have no choice.
And then there's those two Witches.
Katara and Hermione.
Both captivating, brilliant, and completely out of reach.
Just as they've resigned themselves to watching from afar, a spark is ignited. A spark that threatens to burn everything they've carefully built to ash.
