After a long break from writing fanfics I was thinking about redoing a concept I've done before. The story would center around hyrule rebuilding post TotK. Character wise, Link is working through some mental and emotional problems regarding his perceived failures; Zelda is dealing with emotional and physical problems regarding the physical tolls of the previous two games. I've already got some ideas of my own (listed below) but I would like some community suggestions.

Current ideas in no particular order.

Link & Zelda relationship becoming more official

Link's journey for a replacement sword

Zelda and Purah shenanigans (possibly related to Link's new sword or Zonai tech, maybe both)

Castle Town rebuild

Rebuilding the knighthood

Foreign invasion

Refugee crisis

Famine

Illness spreading

Yiga interference

Artist's commentary: This is them after BOTW, taking a break during some fieldwork on an ordinary day. I immediately pictured Zelda sitting while Link was lying down like this, with all kinds of little things they picked up along the way scattered across the blanket.

Since the two of them are positioned apart, I tried using the colors and placement of the objects to guide the eye back and forth between them. Not sure if it worked, but that was the idea.

Hi fellow ZeLink fans! 💙

I'm Lorena, a huge fan of Link and Zelda's relationship, and their story in TotK really touched my heart.

I especially love the idea that Zelda spent thousands of years carrying the Master Sword for Link. To me, it feels like a love letter that travelled across time, waiting for the person it was meant for.

That feeling inspired me to create this hand-drawn ZeLink animatic video, set to YOASOBI's song「大正浪漫」(Romance). I drew the scenes myself and put them together to follow the music, hoping to capture their longing, sacrifices, and eventual reunion.

I've put quite a lot of effort into it, and I'm really happy to finally share it with other people who love these two characters as much as I do!
