Small Star Wars channel from Tunisia just hit the top 10 percent of creators under 1K subs this week, here’s what I think made the difference
I came back to Star Wars after 19 years away building my professional life and started a channel, and this week vidIQ told me it landed in the top 10 percent of creators with under 1K subscribers, with 5,409 views in a week.
I’m not posting this to brag, I’m posting it because when I started I had no idea what worked, so here’s what I think made the difference for me.
First, I stopped trying to sound neutral, the videos where I said what I really think and asked people to prove me wrong are the ones that took off, people came to argue and stayed to talk.
Second, I answer every comment, even the ones that disagree with me, because a comment section that feels like a conversation keeps people coming back.
Third, my thumbnails are built from real frames and never AI images, because people can spot those from a mile away and scroll right past.
And vidIQ helped a lot with titles and figuring out what people were actually searching for.
Still a long way to go, 184 subscribers and almost 125,000 total views so far, so if you’re under 1K subscribers like me, keep going, it’s slow until it isn’t.
May the Force be with us all.
