Nostalgia Did any of you get a free Tootsie Pop for finding the Indian shooting a star?
Legend has it that if you found the Indian shooting a star on your Tootsie Pop wrapper, you got a free Tootsie Pop. Did it ever work for you?
There have been articles about this. The company denies that it was ever an official thing, yet many people swear by it. When I was a kid, the corner store near my house always honored star wrappers as legal tender for additional pops, with one exception - you can't use a wrapper you just got from a freebie Pop.
What was your experience?

There are four kinds of Xennials. The paste people can like glue sticks and vice versa but nobody can like them equally. Somewhere you have to make a choice and that choice tells you who you are

Nostalgia World of Nintendo kiosk circa 1989
The "World of Nintendo" kiosks were the ultimate destination for gamers in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Launched as part of an aggressive marketing push to rebuild the video game industry after the 1983 crash, these neon-lit, high-tech installations transformed department stores like Toys "R" Us, Sears, Montgomery Ward, Child World, and Roses into interactive entertainment hubs.

I recall 7Up being AWESOME
I can't remember when it changed, but I have a very distinct flavor memory of the soda, seven up being absolutely delicious in the eighties. It had a unique crisp sweetness and a very unique taste that was nothing at all like sprite. I feel like after Sprite got popular. The seven up company changed the formula to better compete. But I think they ruined their brand.
I wish they would bring back the original nineteen eighties recipe.
Who else remembers 7Up being awesome in the seventies and eighties??

To current and former punks
Today NOFX Drugs are Good from 40 Years of Fucking Up popped up on Pandora. I vividly remember watching 10 Years of Fucking Up on VHS at like 15. Also watched the Bad Religion documentary Along the Way many, many times. I cannot believe that not only did I live this long, but these guys are STILL putting out music

I started hearing music from my youth on the classic rock station.
Just hits differently when the music that defined your youth is now considered old.

I GASPED.
I LOVED that tape. Loved that video. Always liked him but really appreciated him more in recent years after some documentaries too.
This show is probably great. He was just amazing.

Let's all appreciate this moment
We are at a critical point in our history. Movies are being made about our youthful pop culture. (They don't even suck, for the most part!) Grocery stores, elevators, and airline boarding soundtracks proclaim the awesomeness of our music through slightly-muted or AI-remixed hits from our past. This might just be as good as it gets.
It's our time. Fucking live it. It won't last long until those mid-Millennials take our place in the river of history. Sent with love.

Anyone else want to live in this world growing up?
I wanted to be Chris. I was in love with Maggie. I loved the entire show. What a comfort zone from my early teens…
