Morning all - welcome to this month’s r/Worthing megathread!
What’s happening locally?
Know about a gig, pub quiz, market, comedy night, club night, community event, sports fixture or anything else coming up in Worthing? Stick it in the comments.
Local venues, organisers and regulars are welcome to share things too - just keep it useful rather than spammy.
New to Worthing?
Just moved here, looking to meet people, find a five-a-side team, join a club, get pub/café recommendations, or work out what’s going on locally? Say hello in the comments.
Going forward, standalone “new here / anyone want to meet up?” posts may be pointed towards this thread so everything is easier to find.
Handy Links
For official listings, Time for Worthing, WTM & The Worthing Wave sites are usually good places to check. The Factory Live is worth a look for gigs too.
Got plans? Found a hidden gem? Drop it below!.

Hello! We're in Worthing next week for a bit of a break, arriving Saturday 31st, leaving on Saturday 7th. I've been going through all the online Whats On notices I can find but there aren't any mentions of pubs with live music, so maybe those are too grassroots to be advertised through those channels? We love a pint in a good pub and we love live music. We're casual unstuffy people who won't be a bother to locals. Is there anywhere that you would recommend for an evening in Worthing? My husband loves punk and heavy metal, we both like Indie, folk and antifolk, reggae and ska. Happy with cover bands but the bigger gigs in the Factory Live next week are sold out.

Evening all, We bought a made to measure Venetian blind with the plan of installing ourselves. However, we’ve got a steel lintel and several HSS drill bits later, we’re now thinking it’d be easier (and cheaper than a divorce 😜) to get someone to come and fit the bastard thing for us. Any suggestions of a local to Brighton/Worthing fitter who could help? Thank you!

Hi. I'm interesting in getting into film photography, and looking for a workshop or something to teach me the basics. Anyone know of any in the area? Or failing that, anyone ameteur analog photographers willing to show a newbie the ropes?
Thanks!

For nearly 60 years, local volunteers have supported people in crisis across Worthing but we're facing the possibility of our branch closing due to a decision by the Central Office.
We're trying to show the strength of community support for keeping the branch open and would be grateful if people could sign and share our petition:

Every signature helps show that this service matters to our community. Thank you ❤️

Hi hi, I’m moving to Worthing in ~2 weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend some places, groups, shops etc related to art? I mostly do painting and illustration and I’d love to find some connections to the local art scene if there is one hahaha. I’ve already seen that there are life drawing sessions being offered somewhere which is cool. Any other tips? In Worthing/Brighton/nearby:) 🦭✨

Is there a bottle shop that sells more independent alcohol free beers? I've looked at Bottle and Jug Department and their selection isn't huge so I'm not interested in heading there. I'm wanting to buy cans, not drink in the place.

Hi all we found an iPhone in Goring By Sea on the road yesterday, it won’t take a battery charge so not sure if it’s dead and was chucked.
If you’ve lost one let me know and I’ll tell you if it’s yours I’ve got?!

Got someone visiting from the States who thinks a roast is what goes down on Comedy Central.
What’s the best roast in Worthing / Lancing / Shoreham / Hove / Brighton?

Hey guys!
I've recently moved to Worthing from Wales and am looking to join a D&D group to join. I have played a few one shots but would love to try a campaign.
Where is the best place to find a group? Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Sidenote: if anyone can recommend a book club or craft club let me know.
Thanks ☺️
